AWESOME place to go. Lots of great play equipment for the kids & very well maintained. Cool musical sets for the kids to play on (drums, xylophone, chimes, etc) We stayed in Escanaba for 3 days & we spent @ least 4 hrs each day here. Nicely kept grounds w/lots of picnic tables & room for everyone to spread out. Plenty of trees to escape the hot sun. Clean restrooms & if there isn't one close by they have CLEAN portapoties available. BEST public city owned park I've been to 40+ years! A+

Great place to stop for a break if traveling or just a day out in the sun! Lots to do here! Right next to Lake Michigan. Big area with different types of activities for people of all ages. Disc golf course, beach volleyball, basketball and tennis courts. There's a large lawn area with shade trees and picnic tables. There are swings, seesaws, and a wooden "Kids Kingdom" that's still in decent shape but will need upgrading soon. Some of the climbing features are starting to get worn down a little, but not too bad. My little girl always makes new friends here. There's usually friendly parents and kids playing here. Park is also within eyesight of Arson Island, where there is a boat launch and sandy beaches where people can swim in the lake! Ice cream/Rootbeer Float food truck was open in the park last time we stopped around 4 pm.

Our city park is beautifully placed in the shore of Lake Michigan. Lots to do playground, fishing, kiting, boating, swimming, volleyball, basketball, tennis, frisbee golf, cooking out (they even have grills),hammocks,or just tanning and relaxing. U r sure to have a great time there.in the winter it's great for kids to sled and ice fishing also.

Visited over Easter weekend. First time in Escanaba. Ludington Park provided a great view of the lake. A very neat place to explore with my family.

Yes near the pavilion by the basketball/tennis courts there are a bunch of built in charcoal grills (kinda spread about) 😊 you will have to come in the SW entrance to park on that side, it's one way through that entire side of the park.
Yes you can, I actually had mine at the gazebo. You can rent facilities through the city hall if you need to.
