Been traveling around for the last few years and Grey Wolf was one of the cleanest rooms we've stayed in. Totally enjoyed our stay, loved the private beach!

Poor customer service, dated motel. The lobby smelled like stale garlic. The room had a funky smell as well. We stayed at the end of February and choose this motel because it had a pool. When we arrived at the pool room, there was a youth sports team occupying the entire area. There were no tables or chairs available. Multiple tables were being used for pizza. We had to stand, holding all of our belongings while the kids swam. This is no fault of the motel however, if you are going to allow parties like this, you should make sure there are enough tables and chairs in the areas so all of the guests can utilize the amenities that we paid for. We used the hot tub for just a few minutes. Its located right by the door to outside. Kids were constantly coming in and out so the water was lukewarm. I wasnt even planning on writing a review until we checked out, because I understand some things are out of their control. But when we packed up to leave we accidentally locked ourselves out of our room. I went to the front desk and explained what had happened. The guy at the desk shook his head at me and rolled his eyes. He continued to shake his head at me the entire time that he assisted me. After he unlocked the door, I said thank you and he just turned and walked away. I thought this was very rude, Im sure this thing happens from time to time, if you cant handle it in a decent manner than you should not be in that line of work. I stay in this area about once a year and I will never stay at Gray Wolf Lodge again. There are cleaner hotels just down the road with friendly, more professional staff.
