Based on sites alone this should be a 3 star review. They are generally tight and sandy with no view. They have in recent years added a small cement patio pad to some which is nice. The big draw is the things for kids to do. Pool, bounce pad, Timber Lake, games, ice cream, themes, and possibly most importantly dodge ball? Sometimes they have happy hour w/ keg of local cider. Parents from all over the campground mingle as their beloved children get blasted in the face with dodge balls. We have stayed at hundreds of campgrounds, and quite a few a lot “nicer/newer” but this is still the kids favorite and have the best times here. And that’s what really makes a great campground for us!

We loved our time here! We spent 6 days at Timber Ridge and want to continue a yearly stay! I can’t get over how safe we felt with the kids running around. It’s such a great atmosphere. So much for the whole family to do! From the friendly lodge with all its treats and snacks to the pool, jump pad , Little lake with all the inflatable stuff , trails, corn hole, golf cart rentals and fun multi person bikes— our kids did not want to leave. So many amenities and staff is just so inviting and nice. The staff members that I encountered at the slip and slide kickball game were so fun and seemed like they really loved their jobs. All the staff I interacted with were great. It’s close to other things to do like Clinch Park and Torch Lake- but you don’t even have to leave to still have a great trip. ❤️ Thanks so much for an amazing time with my family. Most relaxed I have been on a vacation in a long time.

The place is great for kids! But the quarter machine NEVER works so being your own quarters for entire stay! Showers take quarters, washers take $2.00 & drying takes $1.50...and when you try to get your money back if the manager (ella) isn't around or available they won't/ can't get your money back it has to be her. And Shannon at front desk is very disrespectful about the whole situation saying it's "not her problem" and that "you chose to leave your clothes wet I'm having a hard time grasping this." When I told her I had other plans I paid for in advanced that i went to and that I didn't start laundry until after they closed at like 2 a.m. due to being out of town being (traverse city) , and that my clothes now smell like mildew and people have different lives like I'm also a travel nurse who works nights on a regular I'm not on a "day schedule" so I do my laundry late. But she insisted on knowing what time I left and what time I came back which is no one's business but mine being an adult. I just need my money that the change machine took and has stuck. Which was $6 & she made a big deal about it and was very rude and disrespectful. Oh and the change machine in the lodge was out of change as well...... The only one who was respectful was the gentleman named Tom in there, he tried to calm Shannon down and try to re direct her into being considerate but she was still rude. So I'd only deal with Tom if it's between Shannon and Tom. So bring your own quarters for ENTIRE stay or get it at a bank.

Nice campground great for families, I will say my "Deluxe" site (40) was pretty wonky, hook ups really far apart narrow and extremely uneven, hard to get my 30' travel trailer positioned in a way where everything could be hooked up. Also a fence along the side of the site made it awfully tight for my slide out. Not the place if you want peace and quiet but great for family fun or events.

Dodge ball, laser tag, they have a huge bounce thing and they do activities every day at the main lodge.
Yes! Day passes can be purchased at the front desk for $5 per person. That gives to access to all the park amenities. Visitors must leave by 10pm. We do limit day pass sales when the park is super busy. We have to ensure that our camping guests have first dibs on a “A+” experience. Calling the front desk to make sure we are selling day passes for that day is always your best it!
Depends on the site
Yes. Pets are allowed but in a designated area only. It is labeled. And in the water they are allowed off leash but on the designated dog beach they must remain on leash.
Unfortunately we cannot sell a season pass as we cannot guarantee that we could keep our guests happy and not feel slighted when some of the amenities they paid for are not available because we have sold passes to non guests. We do sell day passes but again it is all based on our capacity. The best way to check is to give the front desk a call before heading over. Also passes are not sold to unaccompanied minors. When available a day pass is $5 per child or per adult.
Yes! You can by a day pass for $5 per child or per adult for the day. We do have restrictions during the month of July as to ensure that our staying guests receive first priority. It is always best to call the front desk and check before coming over.
Stayed there last year while traveling. Very nice place. Will definitely stay again when in the area. Call them they are very friendly.
Yes pre wrapped Dry bundles
Pizza, Mexican, subs, fast food, sit down restaurants.
Sorry...don't know
Some cabins and camp sites are available year round. As far as prices, its best to call the lodge.
I have an American bulldog and nothing was ever said. I do believe they allow all kinds of dogs. They have areas that have doggie bags for poop and special trash cans for it to. As long as your dog is on a leash they do not have a problem.
