Marci and Phil are spectacular hosts! The house, full of history and charm is really a cool place to stay. Ask Phil for a little history and he's more than happy to provide. Marci's breakfasts are flavorful and many ingredients come from local growers and farmers. My wife and I had a very relaxing stay this past week - the weather was very agreeable and we were able to keep the windows open all day and night! The stars filled the sky each evening and we had access to a nearly private beach that Phil can direct you toward. We go to many BnB's and the tHotH was one of the BEST! Thank you Marci and Phil for a wonderful week! We look forward to our next visit!

Highly recommend staying here, the place is beautiful and so peaceful. Marci and Phil are wonderful hosts and breakfast was delicious both mornings. They have a beautiful piece of property and we are looking forward to coming back to enjoy some summer fun on the lake. I also want to sit on that beautiful front porch 😊. We did get to do a little snowshoeing on the property which was fun, even did a moonlight walk, so peaceful. Thanks again for a lovely weekend, we will be back!

We stayed over the July 4th weekend and were hosting our daughter's wedding at avenue across the street. Marci and Phillip were so attentive to our situation, because of the busyness of the weekend we enjoyed the breakfast to go option for the first two mornings, they even wrote a personalized message on our breakfast box the day of the wedding. What a nice touch! The other mornings we enjoyed breakfast on the fabulous front porch with a delicious breakfast, the quiche and fresh salad and fruit selections were great. We stayed in the carriage house, it was lovely, quiet, clean and decorated with a warm welcome feel. We will stay again. This little burg of Ellsworth has some very special people running wonderful business.

Just got back from a ladies weekend getaway. You can’t go wrong with this bed & breakfast. Beautiful, clean and spectacular service. Rooms are spacious with ac in every room. Breakfast was amazing. Grounds are beautiful with a great porch that captures the view and a breeze perfectly. Beach access and plenty to explore. Will definitely go again.

Yes, we do! We have our Birthday/Anniversary Package that will provide roses, chocolates and a pretty scarf to be ready in the room. Our S'mores Package provides ingredients for S'mores for two to be enjoyed at a campfire on the lake. Our Charcuterie Package is a huge basket stocked with cured meats, a baguette, cheeses, chocolates, and other goodies for those who would like to dine at our B & B. Our Just Because Package will provide you with a half dozen roses to be ready for your loved one when you check in. Our breakfasts will start off with a fruit course, followed by a homemade bread course, and finally a savory or sweet entree' with meat on the side. We like to say that our breakfasts save our guest's lunch money.
Yes! In Charlevoix, there is the Little Traverse Wheelway. This is a beautiful 23 mile non-motorized path that goes along the shores of Lake Michigan.
So many! Right across from our B & B is the nationally known Rowe Inn. Close enough to walk. Charlevoix, Bellaire, Boyne City, and Petoskey all have excellent dining and many of those have views of the water.
Included in the room rate is a spacious room, a three course breakfast for two, snacks, hot and cold beverages and fresh baked cookies available all day, use of the paddle boards, kayaks, canoe and paddle boat, and hiking on our private trails.
Yes, we are located on the Chain of Lakes. We have a sandy beach with a dock. We also offer paddle boards (SUP's), kayaks, canoe and a paddle boat for no extra charge. There is a fire pit right on the shore to sit around and do S'mores.
