UPDATE: SEPTEMBER 9TH 2022, STILL NO SECURITY REFUND OF $11,000 AND IT'S BEEN ALMOST FIVE AND A HALF YEARS CHASING THESE PEOPLE! Mrs. Hollander CLAIMED that she was FINALLY going to refund SECURITY AND INTEREST, and yet here we are, MORE THAN A MONTH LATER, and NO REFUND CHECK. People, DON'T send your loved one to this nursing home. Anyone who would STILL withhold money due to a family, after finding out that someone in that family was just diagnosed with cancer, are NOT the type of people you want to entrust the care of your loved one to. Our family had to choose this nursing home because of proximity to our home. It was a BAD CHOICE, for MANY reasons, the lack of integrity of ownership being ONE OF THEM. FIVE AND A HALF YEARS we have waited for this security refund. This is INEXCUSABLE. I would NEVER want another family to have to go through this, and the best way to avoid this, is to AVOID THIS NURSING HOME. STOP keeping me waiting, Mrs. Hollander. Send that refund check ASAP.

BEWARE OF NO REFUND OF SECURITY DEPOSIT FROM THIS NURSING HOME!! Today is September 1, 2022, and I am waiting for Counsel for the Emerson Healthcare Center to send me a check for $11,000, to finally, after 5 and a half years, REFUND US OUR SECURITY DEPOSIT. This is gone on for far too long now, and I hope that no other families have to go through what we have had to go through! So, if after CHECKING REFERENCES, families decide AGAINST this Nursing Home, then I'm glad I could have been of assistance. I will only remove this advisement AFTER the refund check clears.

One of the 1 north nurse was very ruled. PT is not doing enough exercise. Bad experiences. My mom was back to hospital again. But Dr is very nice. Always calling back and supportive.

Anyone who says the Emerson Health and Rehabilitation Center is a "good choice," clearly has not had any experience with this facility. Our family has had extensive experience with this facility, which in my opinion, is one of the worst in the State! It should be closed down! Avoid like the plague! The single worst choice we ever made!
I can't see the date you posted this question, which seems to defeat the purpose. If your mother has dementia, I would encourage you to stay away from this facility. The dementia patients are kept on the second floor, where they are forced to stay in a "day room" all day. There is one aide in that room, where these poor old people yell, scream and cry. Obviously they are all in adult diapers, but they are not changed regularly, leaving them to sit in their own excrement for hours at a time. This place is little more than a warehouse, for elders to be put into, to die. The only decent nursing home in the area, are the ones that are the one in Emerson not just for people of Armenian descent, and the one in Rockleigh not just for Jewish people. Steer clear of "CareOne" at anywhere (better described as SCARE ONE), and the Emerson Health and Rehabilitation Center, where the worst of the worst end up working.
I knew the Gordons while growing up. Good people, and longtime Emersonians. Many people from Emerson choose this facility, because of convenience. I should know, because we made the same mistake. Anyone who still holds a preconceived notion about the Armenian Home, should think again. They have done an absolute 360 degree change. They employ Registered Nurses instead of Licensed Professional Nurses, and they actually answer the patient's call buzzers, unlike this place! Unfortunately, by the time I got around to reconsider the Armenian Home, it was too late for my parents. Don't let it be too late for yours! It's good to see that people are actually posting real reviews, rather than the phony, BS reviews, that are clear as day! Remember, "if it sounds too good to be true...."
