The staff are great and try their best to help you anyway possible. When visiting the hospital most of us are worried about a family member, friends and loved ones. The staff go out of their way to assist you in finding your way and help ease your mind. The service and care given by everyone from the parking attendants, help desk, custodian staff, nurses, doctors and even the chaplain makes you feel like you are the only thing that matters at the moment. Thanks to all that I encountered during my visit.

The majority of staff at Kennestone are not compassionate My family and I had to battle so much to ensure our mother got adequate care (she never did) and we are still battling. From the long wait in the ER Kennestone discriminated against Mom because as soon as they found out that she has bipolar and Alzheimer's, they seemed to want no part in helping her. They begin to push for discharge in the ER. Had that happened my mom wouldn't have been diagnosed with a highly contagious virus. We had to push for the tests she needed to diagnose her condition. Had my brother and I not been her advocates, she wouldn't have gotten a colonoscopy which led to another diagnosis. The hospital did not communicate with us as my brother and I requested and they promised to do. My mom is not cognitively able to communicate with staff about her needs. Yet doc after doc would just write in notes that she couldn't communicate and wouldn't bother to call us. They restrained her even though we said no. Docs' notes were filled with inaccurate info and even after asking several times, notes were not corrected. During one visit to my mom her room was disgusting. Absolutely unsanitary. Feces smeared on toilet and on floor of bathroom due to her diarrhea, bloody tubing from her IV on floor, discarded gloves on the floor, trash overflowing, dirty sheets, several meal trays still in room. Asked for a clean up and was told that there aren't many cleaning crew on the weekends. Demanded my mom's room be sanitary. Someone finally used some sanitizing wipes on surfaces of room and bath and took out meal trays. That was it. When I left the hospital that night someone was moping the entrance way. Clearly, Kennestone cares more for appearances than patients. Discharging Mom was a nightmare. Luckily, the patient advocate, Ron, was kind and tried to help us, but no one else did. Not the nurse administrator, Chinway; the GI doc, Awad; or her care coordination team lead (social worker), Withers. These people were condescending and even threatened my family and obviously cared nothing for my mother. All they wanted to do was cover themselves. It is very sad when docs, nurses, and social workers are more loyal to corporate medicine than people. At discharge Kennestone was supposed to secure a telehealth appointment with a GI doc for my mom. They did not. They were supposed to help us with securing home health care. They failed to mention to home health that my mother has dementia and this service does not take patients with dementia. I've attempted to contact care coordination. One number just rings and rings. The other tells me to hold for an operator and then another message states there is no operator on duty "at this hour" as though I'm calling in the middle of the night and not during business hours.

Absolutely crooked. Bunch of thieves. My mother was taken to Kennestone hospital after a car accident to be checked out to make sure she had no injured. They ran a MRI on her and observed her for a few hours and determined that there were no injures and released her. Her entire stay was less than 5 hours. No surgeries or procedures were performed. We just received a bill for almost $45,000. How would anyone justify this?

This is hands-down the best hospital in Georgia. I would not be alive if it were not for the ICU and CCU staff. My heart stopped 2 times after I was admitted when I went into cardiac arrest at home. They brought me back and took such good …

They are NO help other than over billing

Yes they do.
Purple Tower 3rd floor
Yes they do. They accept anyone insurance or not thru the Emergency department
If php is what I am thinking. Yes they do have it. I couldn't say if it's worth it and which I never needed those services. Call and speak with financial consultant
Never had thst experience there. I would call them.
The law does not allow any Healthcare information to be shared with anyone without clear permission. Employees WILL get fired immediately if they open a chart for any purpose other then need the information now for a patient they are working with now. If someone is a current pt and they are not a no information patient the main number can give a room number. But you will not get any other information from anyone at a hospital.
I do not know that one. I am a patient. But if you can help me if you know the best way to get transportation to dr visits it will help
Park in the Blue Tower parking at the main entrance. I would call the doctor and ask where you should for your testing visit.
Just a suggestion, perhaps you should go to a doctor... or if it's after hours, the urgent care, and save the EMERGENCY room for people with emergencies.
Yes the can't refuse you because you have money. They also have financial aid you can apply for.
That building doesn't exist anymore. It was demolished in 1998 to build the new Women's Center.😥
I'm pretty sure they have classes and yours. You can call the main number and ask them to transfer your call. Your OB doctor would know and if you don't have one yet there is a group with offices attached to the hospital in the out patient pavilion
You should call them and ask. They always picked up my call.
Turn in off Tower Rd and go to dead end at Blue parking garage. Also a Green lot in back but I have never used it. You will pass one on the right but is for the cancer center.
Id check their website actually
I don't think so. It's more metro atlanta area.
One and they could care less sbout being helpful
Go to security. The first one os free, the 2nd one cost $5.
Only car and regular pick up height. Other parking outside close by.
They did good thus far. Procedures were done about a month, or two ago and he is recovering and has a procedure left to do when he gets better. Thank you for the answers. Security was not an issue. The waiting room can get crowded and some times you cannot find a parking space. Small things though when you have someone in the hospital. The level of care seems good. That is the main thing.
Yes there is financial asdistance available. When you get admitted and youre doing paperwotk, on youre financial obligations page the information is listed to contact them. If youre past that point call the front desk and ask for yhe financial assistance department. They will send you an application and the requirements.
English?
There is also WellStar Windy Hill hospital and WellStar Cobb hospital you can try. Call ahead and ask how busy the ER is. They might be able to give you an estimate of how long yiu will be waiting. I Other than those two, if you think you can drive with your mom a longer distance, you can try a hospital in Atlanta such as Piedmont, Emory, Grady, etc. I would recommend that you try visiting an urgent care center first before going to the ER. Depending on your situation, sometimes they can treat you just as well as the ER and the wait time is nowhere near as long.
If you are unable to go and pick one up then ask your nurse; they likely have one at their station or can grab one when they pass it.
The police... It needs to be reported for insurance purposes
