This place needs to be called the horror-borage. After spending a week in Hackensack University Medical Center, where the level of care was on and off, my mom was transferred here for rehabilitation. I deeply deeply regret sending her here. She arrived last Monday evening and Tuesday informed the attending doctor that she had not had a bowel movement. Rather then order a suppository, the gave her oral medication to get her to go. It has been four days and they still will not give her a suppository and are giving her an iron drip which will constipate her further. On top of her doctor, which I called, did not even know she was a checked in as he could not even find her in their system. Hello?!? How are you caring for a patient and NOT have her in your system? How do you assign her a doctor if she already has one? Let alone, how do you assign her a cardiologist and he can't even find any of her records or history? I'm flabbergasted and feel poleaxed. As for anyone who has written a review on how clean this place is, is clearly out of their mind as the bathroom toilet in my mom's was filled with fecal matter which has been sitting there for lord only knows how long. Gowns and bed covers everywhere, trays left unattended, dried blood on patient's remotes. This place is unsafe, unsanitary and frankly uncaring. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here let alone a loved one. Do yourselves a favor and RUN!

My husband is there & I actually worked with someone there a long time ago. It's a good place, the cna's work their butts off, the nurses rule, the food isn't all that bad for rehab food & honestly everyone there is just nice & they work hard. It's a stark contrast from their neighbor Hackensack Hospital (North Bergen) where mostly everything sucks. I must say the nurses & cna's were great there as well but it was downhill from there. Honestly, the harborage is a good place & I'm very happy with them now & before, they are also incredibly safe. They're taking precautions to protect you from covid & covid positive patients & they make sure you are safe as well. They're currently supplying you with N95 masks & they must be worn as the numbers are rising again recently. I hate the ouchy mask but I'd rather that than covid, thank you! So cheers to the Harborage & their entire staff. They're killing it & in the best possible way especially if you have to be there for a longer time, it's a good place to rehab & you can't beat the spectacular views of The New York City Skyline.
