A surprise to find good dim sum in NYC. The settings inside is quaint and old school. We ordered a good selection of shrimp dumpling, noodles, rice flour, glutinous rice, pork meat bun, sesame balls, custard lava bun and fried carrot cake. . The table is really too small for the food served as the portion is large. I enjoyed especially the sesame balls and noodles. Service is not bad too.

Very good dimsuns (be careful, it's plentiful) in what should be called a gargotte (more than dubious toilets). Anyway, you have to queue before being served. The downloadable illustrated menu allows you to tick your order without risk of error. And there is also a terrace in the alley.

Not sure if I order the wrong dishes, but it looks like a lot of people eat here. I felt the only tasty dish was the snow pea leave shrimp dumpling and the specialty bao was good.

Yes. Weekends there is always at least 30 min wait
Per the city's requirements as of August 2021, we check vaccination status (with matching ID) for all indoor dining guests. The city does not ask us to enforce outdoor dining—those that do not provide vaccination status and are dining outdoors may use the bathroom, but must remain masked in order to do so.
Keeping distance, waiters wear mask all the time, I ate outside
You can see their menu here http://nomwah.com/chinatown/
Chinese. It's a dim sum spot.
I do not believe so. Best to call them. They use the reservation app Resy.
Yes and evenings too! You order off the menu.
I would definitely say Nom Wah Tea Parlor. It has history and good food. On weekends there may be quite a bit of a wait. Was in the final scene of Premium Rush.
It is easier to get a table if you are a small group. My friend and I waited 5 minutes and was able to join and share a table. The staff are very accommodating and will try their best to get you seated.
They take american express and cash only.
Best China town (In my opinion) was Queens, NYC! Better prices, more authentic! We only had a snack at here, because we wanted to visit many places. This is more for tourist, but it is also the oldest family owned restaurant in China town Manhattan!
If you get there late, there will be a long line. We arrived at 10:30 and had a 15 minute wait. It's worth the wait!
Specifically says on the menu that all food may contain wheat through cross- contamination. Also, I believe soy sauce has gluten in it.
Usually people line up in front of door. A staff will take down your info then call you in once table is available.
Roasted pork bun, shrimp dumplings and shiu mai.
