Worse place ever to be for patients and staff. They treat their CNAs worse than animals because people do in-fact love and cherish their animals. Their CNAs do all of the work while the RNs sleep on the job and too lazy to answer the call bell. Some of the RNs hate when a CNA is close to their patients and give them hell. Barbara the nurse director is useless , worthless, racist and bias, just basically waiting on her retirement. The Indian supervisors and nurse on a certain unit is nasty and workplace bullies. Stay away if you are looking for a job here and run even faster if you are patient.

My mother's experience while at Stern was nothing but terrific. The nurses (especially Sasha & Pat) and CNAs (Especially McQueen & Martine) were both professional and caring. She received excellent care. The physical therapist Daniel and occupational therapist Camille were wonderful. She went in with a broken leg, unable to move her leg and left walking on her own. Stern is a great facility and I recommend it highly.

This rehab is so bad. The OT/PT staff are good but that’s only 1.5 hr of the day. The rest of the day the patient is at the mercy of the most incompetent nasty mean-spirited staff. They don’t clean the patient. The patients call bells just echo in the halls for hours. They leave fecal clothes in drawers. And there is nothing to do for the rest of the day! How is this possible? This facility needs a complete rehiring of upper management.

It's a very corporate environment infused with power and have very little or no respect for their staff especially those of color who made up the lower level of nursing known as CNA. There are managerial abuse of power in that facility and low class workers have no representation. They are being condescending upon. So that kind of atmosphere of constant contention and hostility, will indicate the level of treatment patients will get. There is always anger between workers and management. Patients should not go there. And people.should not seek employment there especially if you are of color and seeking to be a CNA. It's an awful place. DO NOT GO THERE!!!
