To say this has been by far the most frustrating and disappointing experience as a small business owner is the very least. The lack of tenacity displayed by office staff to care and be diligent in their delivery of information accurately and consistently is mind blowing. My experiences thus far with this office has not been favorable or helpful. I've encountered staff that either do not enjoy their job or career and lack the capacity to genuinely care. When probed for clarification or asked for additional details, they get smart, or make condescending comments. Thanks, but no thanks.....this was truly a waste of a phone call and valuable time with an office who does not genuinely care about small businesses. I spoke to a Mr. J. Taylor, he repeatedly became irritated when I questioned him or asked for additional details, and made snarky remarks throughout the dialogue.

The Small Business Administration is an organization that hurt my small businesses. Once in 2006 and now in 2022. We will sue them.

Notice that none of the black reviewers speak about getting economic disaster loans, ppp loans etc? It's because the SBA don't provide assistance to black people, other than classes that will do you very little good. The Atlanta Business League and other organizations know that. However, white small business owners are being FINANCIALLY bailed out as I type this.

Lenita, there are several types of SBA loans. Go to their website. Also, I would recommend you take some of their FREE classes esp about their loans. You can always go to your local SBA office. Alot has changed since a few years ago and the emphasis now is women and veteran in business so its best to go talk to the experts down at the office with your questions. I love their free classes you learn so much in a couple hours and you get to talk to them one in one after or before each class. They are very helpful and explain the processes well and give you great assistance. They have express loans to with different requirements frim the commenter above. Their website has alot of info too. FYI, some requirements are waiverable or can be substituted depending on situation. So its best to talk to the source... the SBA... if you go there in person they can give you paperwirk and their Small Business Guide which has alot of info on resources, classes, affiliates, loans, etc.

Call the SBA and schedule a meeting or contact SCORE or SBDC to get a free mentor to help with business plan and guidance on course of action. There is alot of knowledge on their website. The SBA also has monthly classes downtown Atlanta that are totally free and you can discuss one on one afterwards with a specialist. I have done all what Ive stated and have learned alot. I'm still going to some of their classes. They are there to support small businesses in their growth so use them. They are funded by your tax dollars. SBDC is the Small Business Development Center. SBDC and SCORE are resources to use inline with the SBA. They are experienced serial entrpreneurs who are now mentors only some but not all of their classes are free like the govt funded SBA. Their services are free though. They will help you will your plan...

Yes ... park in the lot across the street in the covered garage. It connects to the sky bridge to the building. It is cheaper ... pay in incremented time. The SBA and SCORE is in the Harris Tower Suite 300. It can be confusing but remember its in the Harris Tower ... its like a quad of 3 towers so you have to know which one.

We have been in our space for 3 years but now we have to move out by July 1. The new space we found is a little more than twice the amount in rent. Is there a line of credit we can get to cover our rent for the 1st year?
