Atlanta History Center Atlanta History Museum, Georgia. The highlight - the cyclorama (3D image) about the Battle of Atlanta. 109 meters wide/12.8 meters high painted by 11 German painters illustrating and documenting situations from the Battle of Atlanta in 1984. Every round hour, a 12-minute explanatory video is projected on the cyclorama. do not miss!!! The museum also has permanent exhibitions. * At Swanhouse there is an interesting exhibition about women's rights along the timeline. *The Texass 440 steam locomotive that illustrates how steam was used.

Fantastic visit to this amazing place. Beautiful gardens superbly curated - an oasis of Georgia's natural history surround a wonderful museum and exhibition. A must for locals and visitors alike.

Had a wonderful time here. The museum was great and the Cyclorama 360 is a must. Definitely have to do Swan House as well.

I have a Saxon flax spinning wheel. Circa 1750-1760. Good shape. Interested?
Yes. But I don't think they open until noon on Sundays
It's well worth the $$.. It's $22.50 per adult and membership come with quit a few benefits!!
They might. Or they may have the tablet that does the scripting while they talk that you can borrow. I would try to email them to find out.
The Cyclorama is available for general viewing the same hours as the rest of the history center, 10-5:30 Monday through Saturday, and noon to 5:30pm on Sunday. However the guided experience on the Cyclorama usually has its first start time at 10:30 (12:30 on Sunday), with the last one of the day usually being 4:30. Stopping by the desk when you come in for the day is the best way to figure out what times are available that day, and to figure out which works for your schedule. The Cyclorama experience is included in the museum admission rate of $21.50 for a standard adult ticket.

It's slower in the fall and especially right now, but a good rule of thumb is to come earlier, generally. Hours are 9AM-4PM, closed on Mondays.
Sorry, I don't have information about that.
I'd suggest call them regarding discount. They may have information online as well.

How do I get tickets/reservations?
Hello Ann This is webpage of Local Guides. We don't have that information. Maybe you can call to History Center. They exactly have the answer.
I would check their website
The short answer is February 2019. The long answer is that its last day on display at the prior location was in summer of 2015, with it physically being moved in 2017, and its first day on display after the extensive restoration being February of 2019.
Depends on your interest in history, I would say at least 3 to 4 hours. It also depends on the crowds.
The Cyclorama is located in the campus of the Atlanta History Center (AHC). MARTA does not stop too close, about 4 blocks. If you take MARTA's train to the Buckhead station, you can easily (and inexpensively) Uber/Lyft to the AHC. Admission to the Cylorama includes entry into the rest of AHC's museum and campus. I highly recommend taking time to see as much of AHC's Buckhead campus as possible since you will have paid for it and you're already there. The campus is about 30 acres of land and includes the museum, the Smith Tullie farm/farmhouse, the Swan House, AHC gardens and walking trails. There are also 2 restaurants, a coffee shop, gift shop and research center all located on the campus, so you can see why I suggest spending the day. I hope you find this info helpful.
Tickets can be purchased at the door.
There is no additional fee for the Cyclorama, but you must choose an admission time (it's a separate line item on the online ticket purchase screen, below where you choose the number of adult, child, etc., tickets).
