The museum is well designed and has a lot of information. The lives of the Carters is revealed with many photos, memorabilia, and information cards. One of the neat things about the way this piece of history is laid out is that both his predecessors and successors are given credit for their combined accomplishments. The grounds are also beautiful and worth a walk around them.

My 1st Presidential Library visit!!! Amazing experience. President Carter is an amazing person with great character ❤️ . I learned so much more about President Carter and all that he did and continue to do. He remains my one of my favorite! Happy belated Birthday sir! I truly wish I could meet him personally! If you want to learn about a great pioneer. Visit the Library! Also, they provide a Military discount on the entry cost!

The restrooms are inside, off the lobby. We have COVID protocols in place for their use and cleaning.

The National Archives hasn’t given us permission to reopen to the public but we are getting closer. Hopefully it will be in early July. We will post as soon as we know.
At this point we don’t. We are waiting for the National Archives, our parent organization, to give us permission to start slowly bringing staff in. Once that is done, we can start preparing for the public. But that is likely some time away. Our beautiful grounds are open to the public though.
There is a coin, yes but I do not remember the design
No, but you should be able to get a bus. Check directions on Google Maps and select the bus symbol.
If not a member, fees range from $8.00 to $6.00. There are occasion when certain foundations may make it possible to attend the Center free of charge.
It all depends but I would say average 1.5 hours... if you just walk and look then faster than that. If you are a slow reader that reads everything then much longer...
There is but the museum is closed during the government shutdown
Student and seniors $6, children 16 and under free, but your students if they are free or not they must be accompanied by an adult, service Personnel if you in the military there's also a discount for that it may be free
President Carter has said many times that it wold be impossible to accurately monitor elections in tge US because the ryles are different in evey every county and every state. He ad former Sec of State James Baker did chair a Commission that made recommendations for changes in the election laws. You see it on line and judge for yourself how much has been implemented
You can take photos outside as long as it doesnt interfer or block other visitors.
Yes, hugh parking lot capable of parking your camper. The parking lot have motor coach parking.
If i remember it was quite a slog from the light rail to the museum. You might want an uber if you need to get back to the amtrak. They have commuter trains between dc and Atlanta?
