Went to emergency for chest pains, headache and dizziness. Got there at 2:30 needless to say had x ray and blood work done after about 4 hours and after 8 hours still didn't receive results. At that point the lady from the back came out to tell people it was going to be a 12 hour wait. Needless to say I told her talk the thing out of my arm and I left.

I only went to this emergency room because it is affiliated with my doctors office, but NEVER AGAIN. I spent 10 hrs in the emergency room for bloodwork and a scan. I inquired several times about updates on my results and each time it took hours for anyone to respond. The final time I asked for results, I was told someone whould be back to speak with me shortly. Two hours later, and after no one came to talk to me, I decided to leave. Of course, it took no time for someone to take the IV out of my arm and let me walk out of the hospital with no regard for my current state, attempt to resolve my greviences, nothing. If you have a true emergency, don't go here.

this hospital gives the poor attention to people and including myself as well, i don’t understand why it takes too long to get seeing by a doctor, i’ve been waiting since 5:50pm that time right now is 7:17pm it’s very disappointed. that’s the reason why i never come to hospitals when i’m feeling really sick because i would rather stay home than being here. wondering if there’s doctor or Registered nurse working?

The front desk door visitation policy needs to be changed asap. I was not permitted to see my mother because she already had two visits for day. No rotation aloud plus the people at the front desk are rude.

During COVID, they do not allow this--visitors are for the daytime only. There are exceptions for Labor & Delivery.
Garage parking available on hospital grounds and you pay on your way out.

It's imperative that you check on your family/friends while they're a patient at Washington Hospital Center. As long as you have the person's Full name, date of birth, and admission date that should get you to the person you're looking for.
Write a statement of the facts including names of all involved as well as any witnesses. Take it to the hospital administration letting know that you will go to the DC Department of Health & Human Services and/or the DC Congressional Representative.

Yes, but currently it is only serving staff members. Guests are able to eat at the Panera Bread located in the Physicians Office Building (POB). There are a few other concessions near the POB as well.

Only a few of the doctors offices at WHC have walk-in hours, otherwise the Emergency Department is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

We needed yo use Uber, so I don't know if you consider that "near by." We stayed at The Churchill. I think it was 3-4 miles from the hospital. I hope this helps you.

I'm not a doctor but you may want to check with a Dermatologist and your personal doctor's.
Call the general number and tell the operator what you need to do.
U need to talk to your doctor immediately so they can do a checkup to make sure there's nothing seriously wrong with your colon.
The minimum charge is $5 for the first two hours. You pay for the parking before you leave the hospital. If you are seeing a doctor or therapist at the National Rehabilitation Hospital across the street, you can get your parking pass paid for if you request it.

It took me almost 3 weeks to get somebody to help me and then I still wasn't billed properly. It's a sad situation I had no idea that hospitals function in such a manner
