We require Rabies, Bordetella and Distemper vaccinations at our centers located in Walmart.

We have special parties at all of our centers during day camp. They occur twice a month and are themed with fun photos, treats, and activity. We also will periodically have other special events, like adoption events, customer appreciation days, etc. Along with our in-center parties and events, we often run fun photo contests and games online. We would contact you (the owner) and also get your pet to see a Vet. Every Best Friends facility has 24-hour, on-call veterinary support. We maintain relationships with several veterinary hospitals near each center so that we are always assured of emergency veterinary care whenever it is required.

Each of our centers have their own Facebook and Instagram pages where they post pictures of their special guests throughout the day. It is a wonderful way to see what is going on at our centers and to receive an unexpected photo of your pet playing or relaxing in our centers.

All Associates are fully trained in proper animal handling techniques. We provide hands-on training for any emergencies that associates may encounter. In addition, each location has specific emergency management plans and a property evacuation plan.

We hire pet (and people!) lovers who will gladly cuddle, play with, comfort and (yes) clean up after our guests to give them a great experience while they are away from home. We look for individuals with relevant experience in animal care, human hospitality, grooming, customer service, etc. Once a candidate is selected they must complete an intensive certification program to ensure they are prepared to offer the best possible care. We do not hire volunteers at our centers. All of our folks, interacting with our fur-clients, are employees of Best Friends Pet Hotel.

All dogs, attending our daycare, need to be spayed and neutered.

Our screening process is done when you and your dog visit for the first time. We call it our initiation. We want to ensure that daycare will be a safe experience for your dog so we leave 10-15 minutes to observe his/her behavior and make sure it meshes well with our environment. While this initiation is occurring, we ask that you stay close until we give you the thumbs up that everything is ok. It is important for us and for our other daycare guests that each pup, coming into our daycare space, has a temperment that works with other dogs.

You can make a reservation by submitting a "contact us" form online, by calling our facility, or by stopping by our center. During your first visit, we will "initiate" your dog to ensure that daycare will be a safe experience for him/her. This initiation will take 10-15 minutes and we ask that you stay close by until we give you the thumbs up.

Doggy Daycare is a popular, daytime group socialization class for dogs that meet certain criteria. The program is available at all of our pet care centers. Selection criteria include: -Being at least 6 months -Being spayed or neutered -Having the ability to interact with other dogs in a social setting without overt aggressiveness -Absence of health concerns, which might limit physical activity or require one-on-one focused attention by an animal care technician -Certain vaccinations

Yes. We have a 1.5 hour, full day, and package rate offering for daycare. Our package price is discounted so you can save when you purchase more.

Our decision to expand our operations depends on a variety of factors - from locating appropriate real estate to obtaining planning and zoning approvals to managing the construction process. Best Friends does not franchise. We are a Employee Majority Owned company, and we fully own and operate all of our locations. All of our full-time eligible team members are also employee owners. As such, we all invested in Best Friends and care for your pets as though they are family.

The entrance to our facility is accessible from the exterior of Walmart. Look for our Sign on the top of the Walmart store and our door is located below. You cannot access our facility from within Walmart.
