From a Visitor....They need to do a better job cleaning the building. The ladies that do the cleaning walk around the building spraying a fragrant spray in the hallways to make it smell good in there. They do not speak English, but smile pleasantly and pretend to clean with the same rags for everything. The building leaks all over and parts flood when it rains. There is a strong and awful smell of mildew in parts of the building. The carpets get soaked with water and have to be dried out constantly. It is really scary to ride in some of the elevators, they make all kinds of noises and sometimes stop for no reason. The front desk staff are very pleasant and kind. Chef Robert is very nice, funny and kind. The dining room staff is full of rude and immature young kids that most of the time don't know what they are doing. There are a few Ladies that are always nice there, two servers Mikayla (young, blonde hair) and another server, I think she is a new girl, with blonde hair, her name may be Angie (she didn't have a name tag). Also the other is the woman that checks in the reservations, Phyllis she is sweet. The rest of the serving staff don't appear to be trained very well at all. Half the time those kids do not know what they are serving, what it consists of or how to pronounce it. The kids they hire run around this place like it's a playground...they are so loud and obnoxious. The dining room managers are very unprofessional and do not seem to know what they are doing either. At the buffet, most of the servers there are not personable and it reminds me of a highschool cafeteria lunch lady style service. They appear to be severely understaffed and seem to hire just about anyone. There is always caos and confusion, people running back and forth trying to figure things out. There are a few more things, but I will be contacting the higher-ups to reiterate what I have said here. Overall, this place needs a severe overhaul, and I feel bad for the Residents and the few good staff members.

The Cypress Village executive team including Ty Morgan and David Green has been easy to work with on several levels. The maintenance crew has been amazing as well. This has been extremely helpful to my family. Thank you all for your service.

Elevators are always out of service and slower than any I've ever encountered

The staff at Cypress Village has been truly great to say the least. The guy that has been helping my mom transition to the campus after my father died has been remarkable, and deserves this review. During this period, he has been attentive, kind and most importantly, he really gets how to serve others. He has bent over backwards to make this move happen and am glad to say that mom will be moving in around October. Leaving a home of 36 years and losing a husband of 64 years is not easy...but the staff has made it so much easier than it could have been. Thank you thank you, thank you! Phil B

Costs can vary widely depending on the community and the services offered. A life care community (like Cypress Village) typically offers a residency agreement with a one-time entrance fee along with a monthly payment that covers the services provided. The entrance fee and monthly fee will vary depending on the size of the residence and the number of occupants. When needs change, care is provided on site from people you already know and trust. In addition to an entrance fee, a monthly fee covers community maintenance, dining programs, and access to all the services and amenities of the community. Refundability of your entrance fee will vary by the type of residency agreement selected.
Cypress Village offers a range of short-term rehabilitation services in a welcoming residential setting. So that you can fully focus on your health and healing, they take care of chores like housekeeping and laundry, and help you with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming and medication management. Cypress Village’s team of physical, occupational and speech therapists will consult with your personal physician, ensuring your plan for short-term care is entirely customized to your needs. During your short-term stay, they provide assistance with the details of hospital admission, discharge and more. They also conduct a home assessment or home visit to ensure you’re able to safely return to your normal routine.
Skilled nursing within a senior living community provides 24-hour licensed nursing care. This area within a community primarily provides long-term care or rehabilitative therapies for patients and residents who need medical or nursing care and is ideal for those with chronic medical conditions or disabilities, or those in chronic pain, who require round-the-clock care and supervision by licensed skilled nursing professionals. The skilled nursing area of a senior living community, like Cypress Village, is not like a hospital. Many patients and residents utilize this area of care after a hospital stay. While this area of the community does provide advanced levels of on-going long-term care as well as short-term rehabilitative services, the suites and spaces are designed to be warm and comfortable and reflect a home-like environment.
Assisted living gives you the helping hand you need to keep active, stay engaged, and pursue your passions. You’ll live in a beautifully appointed apartment home and receive assistance with the basic activities of daily living, tailored to your specific needs, such as help with bathing, dressing and grooming, medication management, and personal maintenance. While both assisted living and memory care provide assistance with the activities of daily living, such as those mentioned above, memory care at Cypress Village offers a specific type of compassionate care that is specially designed for those with memory impairment. Each member of their memory care team is trained in the specialized skills needed to provide excellent Alzheimer’s care and dementia care. After initial training, they then participate in continuing education courses to remain current in best practices.
An independent living community is the perfect place for active seniors who are able to enjoy an active life and want the total freedom of a carefree retirement lifestyle. Home maintenance and yard work become a thing of the past, and the community provides a wide range of services and amenities—including dining, a full calendar of social opportunities and entertainment, transportation, housekeeping, health and wellness activities, security, and more--so residents can truly live the lives they want to live.
Life Care is an entrance fee contract considered the top-tier among retirement communities. By choosing Cypress Village, you’re assured of active senior living with a maintenance-free retirement lifestyle, resort-inspired services and amenities, and a smart plan for care if it’s ever needed. If your health needs change, you have unlimited access to their senior care services at virtually no increase to your monthly fee.
Cypress Village offers several health services options for their residents. They are: - Independent Living: for older adults who want to live independent lifestyles without the ordinary responsibilities of homeownership - Assisted Living: for seniors that want to live as independently as possible but may need assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing and grooming, and medication management - Memory Care: for seniors that need not only help with daily tasks but also need specialized care from professionals trained in providing Alzheimer’s and dementia care - Skilled Nursing: for seniors in need of 24-hour care from a licensed nursing professional, such as those with chronic medical conditions or disabilities, in chronic pain, who require round-the-clock care and supervision - Rehabilitation: short-term, professional rehabilitation services within a residential setting, for senior adults recovering from an injury, illness, or hospital stay
