Fantastic movies selection. Extremely welcoming and helpful staff.

Love this non-profit little cinema. Important to support this place as much as possible.

I watched star wars here once. But normally they play more artsy films.

I love movies and movie theaters... I like the arts, independent cinema, cocktails, date nights, good nonprofits, etc... the folks who run the Avalon are exceptional and hire great staff... but I really wish the Avalon offered ONE family-friendly screening a week. This could take place Saturday or Sunday mornings when the theater is free, or even take advantage of the second screen. This would generate a good deal of much-needed revenue for a nonprofit, entice people back to the cinema after COVID, and introduce a new generation of screen-obsessed kids to the BIG screen. (I will get this event sponsored in 5 minutes so it's all $$.) I have mentioned this to the proprietors, this is the least important issue currently happening in the world, and the Avalon is already one of my five previous lifetime Google Maps reviews (even though it's the best local search platform ever created and should also include a rec for Muchas Gracias)... it's just looking like rain this afternoon and watching the Greatest Showman with the kids would be a lot of fun!

There's a small parking lot behind the theater as well as metered curbside parking in front. You may also be able to park in the lots attached to the nearby grocery store and drug store.
Hi Karin, At this point we do not have any plans to show The Territory. Thanks for asking!
Hi there, we're not totally sure we understand your question. Are you talking about the seat selection in the online booking option, or the physical seats? If the later, all of the seats were updated a couple years ago.
Hi Billy, Avalon 1 had 400 seats and Avalon 2 has 130. We hope to see you there soon!
I'm not sure yet but the avalon staff will notify the public.
Tx to all who answered!
Go to Theavalon.org or Movietickets.com
Can't help you. Call theater or use Fandango. Com
If we answer about the spy would be unfair... ;)
Not 100% of it but a unsubstantial amount, depending on your level of membership. They subtract out the amount that they consider to be represented by the benefits of membership. But if you select the highest level then I think about half of it is deductible. And if you go there once a week or more it definitely pays for itself so I recommend membership at the highest level or at least the second highest level.
Possibly. Movies change on Fridays, although the Avalon tends to run them more than one week. You'll have to check on Thursday. Any of the movie apps will work. Or call their box office number.
It's really neat theater old school. Nice area also great places to eat nearby. The National Zoo is right down the street from there.
There should be a reference or ID# on the tickets. They'll need that to reference the sale.
There's a theater in Fairfax VA that shows Oscar nominees including the short films. Cinema Arts.
Yes
Probably the end of the month.
