At first the laid back nature of this place will drive you nuts. But it starts to grow on you and you stop looking for there to be a functional and responsive events coordinator or a coherent after hours entrance policy- you do your event wherever and whenever you want and you make your own after-hours rules. Works for me and my pop.

My mother has been in common wealth Senior living for 6 years. Once she was diagnosed with dementia I had to find a place for her. I visited 38 facilities before coming to CSL. Understand that I was fed up at this point. I was going to add a room on my house and have in house care. From the first moment I walk in the door I had a good feeling that I had found the right place. After meeting everyone from Amber the Director to Les the maintenance man. I was satisfied that I had found her a place. I had her there soon after. At first she took a little while to settle in, I got alot of support from the staff. As mom progressed her amount of care was progressed. She is now in memory care where she has more support. The staff has changed in her time however the care has always very good.. the nurses call if there are things I need to know. If you need care for your loved ones this is a place to check out. Also since it is outside the DMV Area it has better pricing, let me be honest this type ofcare overall is expensive, however CSL Front Royal does it right

I am so thankful for Commonwealth Senior Living in Front Royal. I don't have to worry about my Dad because I know he has a full staff doing so. His medical conditions and his attitude can be challenging and they go above and beyond to meet his needs and care for him physically and emotionally. It is difficult to find employees in this work environment and yet they have many in all departments that excel. They have a variety of activities for everyone. We joke in our house that it's like college without having to study! By caring for my Dad, they are helping our entire family and we couldn't be more grateful.

Commonwealth Senior Living is a wonderful place and allows families to put their minds at ease knowing their loved ones are properly cared for. The apartments are spacious, the staff is attentive, the food is great, the activities are daily, and the location is in the beautiful Skyline Drive area. You can't go wrong bringing your loved ones here. Diane will find the perfect room and walk you through the moving process. The medical team (Wendy, Sara and Jennifer, along with many techs) pays attention to the resident's needs and provides the best care possible. Amber, and the rest of the staff oversee any and all problems and ensure the residents are happy and feel at home at CSL. Susan and her helpers will keep everyone busy with daily activities and fun adventures. After extensive research and shopping for the perfect place...CSL was the winner and my parents love it here.
