Zero stars. Moved here 6 months ago, literally 2 blocks from the new FRPD station. People fly past our house at 50 mph with no reprecussions. Yet FRPD harasses and uses excessive force on a man that was parked safely in their driveway, and then charges them with a DUI with no proof or probable cause for pulling them over. I guess that's what you get being new in town and owning a nice car.

Questions & Answers

Is there a way to contact the police via text so the reason for the contact can't be heard by others? Some people, who don't have an urgent reason to call, feel more secure explaining their need for police aid in text, when they're nervous to talk.

We are working on the NextGen 911 to give us that capability. Virginia won't get to us until the first half of next year. Currently, Warren County handles all incoming 911 calls and will transfer them to our agency. They do have an option to text to 911.

You would need to fill out an application, which you can either get on the Town of Front Royal website or by picking one up at Town Hall.
