I don't know why people are complaining about this beautiful spot. There are homeless people here but they're paying to stay just like the rest of us. Mind your own business and things will be just fine. I personally love this spot. What more could you ask for with primitive camping. There are bear proof trash cans, clean vaulted toilet, beautiful hiking, camping spots on the lake and the area is regularly patrolled by park service. It's a must stop at 10 dollars a night !!

Currently here now. It is open for camping if you can find a spot. I'll be leaving in the next couple hours so there may be one if you plan on coming today! It's $10 a night and you pay by the boat ramp.
I was there a little over a month ago the people are nice I made a few acquaintances there is no hookups there's a chemical toilet and no mosquitoes two-and-a-half 1/2 Weeks it's a first-come-first-serve campground there's probably maybe 10 to 12 sites half of those are on the lake it's a nice Campground if you like peace and quiet it costs $2 a night I plan on going back there in February for about a week I saw a ranger there everyday driving past I don't have a problem with that
You can wade in by the boat ramp but it's not a protected swimming area. From the campsites the water is covered with water plant vegetation. Over at Ocean Pond and Olustee Beach there is swimming areas.
