Good place for kids but it's a little pricey
Maritza Mendez
I went there last Sunday for my niece’s birthday 🥳 she had a blast definitely loved the place, my visit didn’t had a happy end however ☹️ I was carrying a Marshall’s bag with a change of clothes and shoes for my niece and my sunglasses 🕶, I remember carrying the bag around but at some point I placed some where and forgot to pick it up 😫😫 I went back ask the staff members if someone returned it or something they let me search for it but I didn’t find it, I couldn’t believe someone will just take it like that, it’s my fault because I forgot it, BUT seriously you will take something that’s not yours is a kids place, it’s in inconceivable, if you go there secure your stuff.

Excellent place for the kids - lots of hands on activities - just plain fun!!!

Absolutely. You can also purchase memberships at entry our exit. If purchased at exit, they deduct the cost of your visit from the membership.
Yes. But you will have to carry it around unless you get there early and pay for a locker.
Yes all ages

Hi Martha - November's $2 Family Fun Night is November 16, 2018 from 4-8PM. We'll have another on December 21, 2018 from 4-8PM. Hope you can join us!
Yes. They host birthday parties
Bring your own food. There are a few vending machines in the lunch room
About $80 if everone is over 2 years old. But you are numbers of other Children's Museums they do reciprocity so it would be less.
Your ticket allows for a 3 hour visit. On the day we went, we were allowed in from 10-1. Then they closed, and everyone who had been visiting during that period exited. They reopened and the next group of ticket holders was allowed in from 2-5, when they closed for the day.
Hi, Marcella! You can find information on all available admission offers here: https://www.portdiscovery.org/hours-admission-discounts. Typical General Admission tickets are $21.95/person for all ages one and older; there are some things like $5 Community Days and PlayMaker Tickets that are available as well; you can find that info on the link provided.
What do you mean?
It's not a bad idea. You visit the website and it'll show how many available tickets there're for the particular time slot. There're 2 time slots:10am and 2pm.
They also have a community day periodically. Tickets are 2-4 dollars. More info can be found on their website.
Tickets are $17.95/person for individuals one and up. Children under the age of one and Museum Members enter for free.
Yeah there's a seating area with vending machines, like a snacking area.
Thank you all for your answers. Also I was checking the website for food policies. Is good allowed inside? Like snacks for kids.
On the other hand, you can pay for the admission and if you like it you can buy a membership using the value of that admission, so you only pay the rest.
I'm sure there special rates for groups in general. Contact the office for assistance.
Yea, unless you purchase a membership, you do have to pay admission with each visit. Check the website for prices.
Any age could go but there is a section where it's only 3 and under. But other than that, all ages
Hi! I see that there $2 Family Fun Night is on Friday, November 15thth from 4-8PM
Hi Lisa - Yes, Port Discovery is open for play and learning on July 4th! We'll be open from 10 AM - 5 PM. This page may be helpful in planning your visit: https://www.portdiscovery.org/visit/plan-your-visit
Right now they are $5 per person. They are renovating so it is really small right now.
Its like $17. Person no matter the age and not sure about discount on multiples
Hi Yvonne! Thanks for asking! We're not quite done with the construction and remodeling just yet - it's a massive project - but we're getting closer every day! We anticipate construction continuing through late May 2019, but with a project this large, that timeline could shift. We'll continue to share updates via our website, social media, and email. In the meantime, you can check out www.PortDiscovery.org/Construction for more information!
Hi Athena - Yes, our Construction Zone experience is open today, 4/6 and tomorrow 4/7. Please keep in mind that the main museum is currently off limits while construction on new exhibits and updated Museum amenities is underway. In the meantime, the Construction Zone in the Atrium at Port Discovery provides a hands-on experience that's great for little learners! Here's more info, including a short video walk through of the exhibit: https://www.portdiscovery.org/news-room/now-open-friday-sunday-construction-zone-atrium-port-discovery-sponsored-mt-bank
Hi Kandais - While we're under construction building big new exhibits, we're inviting visitors to check out our Construction Zone experience. That experience is $5/person for individuals two and up. It's free for members and children under two. We hope to be fully re-open in late spring. Admission prices will increase at that time. Hope that helps, but please feel free to reach out with additional questions!
They have arts and crafts, a performance to entertain the children, they have some K-9s there that can be petted and the purpose of having those K-9s there escapes me right now my grandchildren and I were there last month and they had fun. They also have a play area upstairs where the children can play together. The construction should be completed by may/June time frame.
During construction it is free for members, $5 per person, and children under 2 are free. https://www.portdiscovery.org/visit/tickets-hours
Ship oriented, puzzling, library, water games etc., but kids really enjoy
Hi Rachel - Admission this Saturday, January 12 (and other days the Construction Zone is open) is $5 per person for individuals two and older, free for members and children under two. Since the main part of the Museum is under construction and several exhibit areas are off limits, we are just charging the $5 fee to enter. However, the Construction Zone offers quite a bit to see and do! We hope you can join us - and let us know what you think of the experience! You can find more info about Construction here: www.PortDiscovery.org/Construction.
Hi Christina - Regular admission to Port Discovery is typically $15.95 for individuals two and older (free for Members and children under the age of two). However, we're currently constructing new exhibits and are opening a limited-time experience, The Construction Zone, on January 12th. Admission to that experience is $5 for individuals two and older (free for Members and children under the age of two). In late January, we'll open a Port Discovery Pop-Up Play Space at the Shops at Kenilworth. Entry will be free for all visitors.
Itsclose, but expensive. Bring your parking ticket to the front desk, they do validate parking and it makes it about $10 cheaper.
I have no idea. Sorry
December 22 is a 2 dollar day for everyone so mark your calendar.
Hi Veronica - Tickets or a membership are necessary to enter Port Discovery Children's Museum. Both can be purchased online or in person, however, as mentioned by others, if you would like to use a coupon, you'd need to purchase tickets in person on the date you'd like to attend. Admission is normally $15.95/person for individuals two and over, free for members, and free for children under the age of two. Admission includes access to all exhibits, programs, and events happening during normal operating hours. Thanks so much for asking!
$15.95 for everyone 2 and up, I don't feel parents should be charged. There's nothing for us to do but watch kids. Also theres no food sold and the McDonalds closed that was next door. There is a Pizza place near the corner of Pratt that was good and cheap. Also ice cream place on Pratt made a nice Sunday with family
Bring your lunch, and make sure you visit all the rooms. There is an admission fee.
Yes, but always try Groupon and the k out their website for special occasions and discounts dates and times.
Check Groupon and Livingsocial, they often have deeply discounted family packs.
$15.95 for ages 2 and up. Members and children younger than two years: FREE.
No food inside. There is a Subway, 7Eleven, and nice restaurants around. Reentry is allowed
No zip but a multistorey, labyrinthine climbing mountain with rope bridges and climbing
Yes mainly the three story treehouse, but dont expect to stay as long as younger kids.
Admission is $ 15.95 each for people 2 years and older. Members and children under the age of two enter free.
The cost is is $ 15.92 for age 2 years old and up. But try to see if Groupon has discount tickets.
Yes to parents playing and all that. But, very limited food available. There is a room to eat, but not much to buy there. However, you can leave and get back in. Subways and a few other places are nearby. Not ideal food choices but are available.
Chicken Rico is really good.
It cost $15.95.
Yes it will they have dates already up on the website
Its i think between 14 to 16 dollars, children and adults have to pay admission
Me and my family went there yesterday, 18 January. 2 adults and 1 child, $48.xx Tickets were about $16.xx per adult and $14.xx per child.
Theresa holiday inn and a Radisson
The party is included with admission. Parents and children over 2 pay admission.
its not that bad, port discovery is bee orderly as to dollar days. they open at 9 am so getting there early is goid but midnight is too much.
My 2 year love it there. I think we were there for 4 hours and she didn't want to leave
I would say 10 and under as a rule of thumb. Any older, and it would depend on the child and the group accompanying them.
10 is super late for that area, considering it's a party area on the weekends. Plus the age they target should be home in bed by 10.
