Adult and kid friendly. You can grill and throw birthday parties as well.

It's a nice space to hold a small party. The air worked great so noone got hot.

The lady (Val) who ran the campground was pretty accommodating and friendly to us. However the parks and rec guys that work out there do a very poor job. I literally had to start moving the picnic tables that were all stacked in one area in order to get them to start moving them to mow as the grass was already up to calf length. As for the campground maintenance no gravel to park your camper on it becomes nothing but a muddy swampy mess.

Great place to be close to all the awesome things to do in Spencer, Iowa. Right on the river, walking distance from the fun aquatic center, big playground, beatiful art, skate park, museum & downtown, and incredible biking/walking trails. Great spot if you're attending events at the #ClayCountyFair Grounds because it's a short drive away, AND you have super shopping options less than a mile South (fast easy and quality coffee/drink drive-thru hut at South Jnct Hwy 18 & 71 π in same parking lot as the must-see Many Hands Market). Even if you live in Spencer like we do, we've made this a fun kids birthday party camping trip because of its location and no worry of a messy house. Ha! I would rate this a 5 star if I didn't like camping further away from all the action. This spot is perfect for convenience, amenities, and in the best small town ever! Pics taken on the trail heading east from camp ground towards the bridge which leads to the fantastic hiking & picnic area of Oneonta Park. Photo of #LittleSiouxRiver taken from the Oneonta walking bridge.

I'm not sure if this is connected to anyone in charge. Check around for a number and report the incident.
Just a river, but there is a public swimming pool directly southeast across the road somewhat.
they have rings available, if the site dosnt have one, there should be some by the office
No
Don't know myself. Check with Spencer Chamber they should be able to answer that question
I dont believe they rent campers. I think you bring your own and you just pay "lot rent" for however long you stay.
Top side is open. Not bottom side along river. Limited spots by shelter house available.
