I am a proud student of this college, so I maybe a little biased. Lol. But honestly, - Amazing campus and environment - No private parking for the college

I'm taking the AIPB bookkeeping certification prep course package and I regret not going somewhere cheaper. Some of the teachers there are really sub-par. I expected, since Baruch is a desirable accounting school that the continuing education classes would also be solid. However, they are not. In particular, my advanced bookkeeping professor Samuel Harris lectures in zoom without his camera on, his mic regularly goes off (he says its broken), and he wont look over or grade any of the home work. When I emailed him for help on the journalizing process rather then helping he said "what are you going to do to help yourself". Apparently telling him what I needed help with and reading the chapter wasn't enough. He says we can ask for help anytime but I don't feel like I have any support. I will just be Googling everything I need now. It's just sad, whats the point of these classes if I have to resort to getting all of my education from free sources? So far the continuing education program people have yet to get back to me about the no-video Zoom "courses".

I applied to Baruch for a IBP Caps Marketing course. They sent me details via email within a brochure and i went ahead and submitted the application paperwork. 2 days later i received a call to further discuss the application and i was told on call- they are accepting me and i have to pay $525 . I agreed to pay BUT during the call - he did not mention even once that this is non refundable. And the brochure they sent state $400 goes towards tuition so i just assumed he is asking for $400 for tuition and $125 for application. a week later, i decided to withdraw as things did not work out with my visa. I notified them right away and asked for refund. They clearly told me - NO stating everything is non refundable. I kept asking and i received NO as an answer. 1) The brochure that contains all the application information does not contain any information about the money being non refundable. 2) I received no formal communication stating my application was accepted and i decided to withdraw but they still decided to take my $400 tuition fees for NO REASON. 3) i also mentioned to them that i understand that you have spent some time reviewing my application and you can keep the $125 but they want to keep all of it. 4) I kept asking - just tell me that you have communicated me once via email or call that this is non refundable and i will be good with this and they have given me no response for this. 5) i am being given an option to join within the next 1 year and fees will be used towards that. Like seriously, my visa did not work out and you are giving me this option. Think twice ?? I find it extremely unfair. We work hard and they just decide to keep all the money for no reason.

Hi Mamadou, you reached the non-credit/non-degree division of Baruch. For degree programs, you need to contact the main admissions office at Baruch.
