The location cannot be beat. Magnificent views of Columbia river next to a waterfall and the gardens are tastefully and beautifully maintained. The hotel is a historic property and the clientele is mostly older retirees and that is very interesting as there was no convenient place to plug in your devices. Limited dining options in the facility but short drive from other places nearby.

Stayed at the historic and beautiful Columbia Gorge Hotel as a birthday gift in November 2021. I always wanted to stay at the hotel because I always heard tales that it was extremely haunted. Apparently my wish to stay came true and I had so many experiences. While I stayed in room 328, which was supposedly one of the most haunted rooms, I had most my encounters in the ballroom, where I heard voices, caught a few orbs in photographs, saw a shadowy figure of a little girl, caught a shadowy figure on camera, and felt a bit uneasy there. I did see a shadowy figure in the restaurant, and I heard a females voice whispering to me as well, and my last paranormal encounter was in the room, where I saw the curtain fly up when the AC was off and windows were closed. Overall, I had one of the best nights ever in this hotel, the beds were amazing, breakfast was delicious, and I had a fun night! I can't wait to go back to the hotel again soon!

We really liked this hotel.. I especially loved the ambiance, furniture, the old elevator that only staff can operate! The grounds even covered with snow was spectacular. So many lights!! I loved it, cant wait to get there again. Room service was great. Front staff at check in was so warm & inviting.

In accordance with Oregon Law, only certified service dogs wearing their sweaters are allowed in our lounge and restaurant. We welcome dogs to stay with their humans in our special guest rooms on our second floor. We have a maximum occupancy of 2 dogs under 50 pounds. Each per room, at a rate of $ 35.00, per dog, per night.

We had our 70 lbs dog with us no problem. I don't remember the nightly pet fee. The property is awsome for the dog. Some hidden green areas were great to throw tennis balls.
