EDIT: I'm adding here that I did swing by the Shortt Supply with my shoes and spoke to the owner and an assistant and neither of them seemed to care about my predicament. So the update from the owner here rings hollow. I bought a pair of Brooks shoes from Shortt Supply in October. By December, they were completely falling apart. I've bought shoes at Walmart for 1/3 the price that have lasted longer. I walk six miles a day, with an insole added, and I do the dumb thing of taking my shoes off without untying them. Even with doing all that, I've never had the cheapest pair of shoes blow out on me like these did. Management can chalk the damage up to my bad habits but I've been doing the same things with countless pairs of shoes for over a decade and never had a shoe fall apart so dramatically.

Best selection of hiking and trail running shoes I've seen anywhere.also the best covid-19 safety measures I've seen at any store in the United States. They have a contact tracing sheet, plenty of hand sanitizer, as well as strict guidelines which are clearly posted.
