It was adequate for our 1 night stay. Pool area was clean. Sign at desk mentioned renovations; not sure what the specifics are. We were in an older room, it's small for 2 queen beds. One towel hook; I'm not sure why hotels in general don't have enough places to put towels and swim wear (when the hotel has a pool). Service was good, breakfast was stocked, offered variety and the area was clean.

The only real disappointment was the dark slimey stuff in the coffee pot in our room, disgusting! I mentioned it to the desk attendant, along with the stuff I found in the coffee maker. He just shrugged his shoulders and went on with what he was doing. That was very off putting. I would think twice before considering this hotel again, an I'm sorry about that and an offer to rectify the issue would have went a long way. Instead I felt dismissed.

I think it would have been appropriate when making the online reservation to say that a remodel is happening. Our room should not have been made available to stay in - paint splatters on furniture, door knobs, etc., did not feel clean overall, and had silverfish. However, the bed was comfortable and I do like the look of hardwood floors vs carpet. That may make things seem cleaner going forward.

The hotel isn't what it used to be. The good things were: Temperature control, price, Breakfast, and service. Everything else was pretty bad. Our room wasn't even ready when we arrived (late, might I add), the maid cleaning our room didn't even speak english so we couldn't communicate to ask what was happening, the room smelt like pure bleach, there was renovations going on, the floors in the room are hardwood (worst choice possible) and were still very dirty even though they had just been "cleaned", the bathrooms are tiny, I couldn't even get on the toilet because its too close to the wall, the phone in the room had no hookups (this was room 202), so I couldn't call to the front or anywhere else for that matter with the bad reception and abysmal WiFi on my devices (also, they block all gaming consoles from connecting, which is understandable, but really stupid,). The lights are either full bright in your eyes, or no light at all. The pool is kind of a let down, only being 4 foot deep, and there is no spa/hot tub. The worst part? The beds were terrible! They felt fine, and were normal in every way, but something about sleeping/laying on them made my whole families backs' hurt badly. It was like waking up with cramps and pure stiffness, it was so bad my mother had to go home a night early. TL;DR Just pay extra for a different and much better hotel, unless you dont really have a choice.
