Yes, Tempe Community Action Agency also known as TCAA is one of the most helpful knowledgeable Community nonprofit agencies around that can help anybody with good healthy food information to get jobs help with electricity and rent if you are eligible. There's no judgment there everybody is very kind. It's a wonderful place to be. If you need help get a caseworker there and they will go out of their way to make sure that you and your family or even if you are single and going to college or single and disabled/elderly, they will go out of their way to make sure that you live a healthy life with all the things that people need (maybe not desire) but need to live a life suitable for Arizona. Thanks to all those wonderful volunteers at the tcaa I've been dealing with you for a long time and you've never let me down. I'm thankful.

They have a ahelter program that involves you sleeping on a matt at local churches but you have to help clean the church, and the items you are given to sleep with are not always clean an they won't let you bring your own sleep items. As for meals, they will give you a lunch bag daily if your homeless.

They dont offer assistance to pay for a motel room but they do give resources that can hep you get assistance.

They were open as far as i know, because the message said all appointments for rent assistance are full. Must start trying to get through right at 8 am and just keep redialing for up to 15 - 20 mins. Usually by 8:25 am all appointments are taken.

U walk in w an ID, that's it!!. I went in with mail as well and offered it but they said "you don't need it for a food box". This place is good and the food is great..meat,milk,etc. Good luck.

I received a 5 day eviction notice today butt just lost my wife and her subsequent Social Security payment. i cannot pay my rent for this month except for $500 I paid. I will be moving in the next 45 days but can I get help to remain here until I move?
