What a beautiful hotel the Hampton Inn in Elk Grove was. I was greeted warmly by all of the staff and a special KUDOS to Heather, who works the front desk. Due to the elevators not working, she gracefully assisted me up 2 flight of stairs with my luggage. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. In the morning a full spread was available for breakfast, including oatmeal, waffles, bagels, and assorted juices. I used a new website, thru Trivago, and got a great price for my room. I'll certainly stay there again if I'm ever in Elk Grove

This place needs to be redone. And needs to hire all new staff to be a real Hampton Inn. Parts of the room were kind of clean. The things on the nightstand were disgusting and sticky. None of the staff was friendly. Front desk was very blah. And the pool was unavailable. Breakfast was not the same as other Hampton inn s. There was outside noise all night and garbage trucks and construction early in the morning.

The reviews looked good here, and I choose to only stay at Hilton owned hotels because they tend to never disappoint however this one in particular was gross. The entire second floor stunk like urine. I entered our room (211) and it smelled terrible in there too, like a sweaty, stinky locker room/bathroom. The room was so beat up and shabby. I couldn’t believe this was a Hilton. I’ve probably been to at least 30 different Hilton locations and a few weren’t great, but this one was the only one I’ve ever left. I immediately walked back downstairs and asked for a refund. The staff was nice enough and complied. I do not recommend staying here.

Positive: Staff without their wonderful customer service and professionalism I wouldnt be giving them the rating that I am. Make them a part of the management and I could easily see this hotel becoming a higher rated hotel! It starts with management!
