Breakfast There was nice staff were friendly but these are the problems hair everywhere im talking in the drawers the bathroom on the pillows, couch, and the bathroom. When we got into the room the TV was on the floor! Also the room only had 1 towel in a 2 bed room. The bed sheets had greyish stains. Couch has yellow stains. Thought swimming would be nice but the pool is freezing cold not heated like all the other hotel pools ive been too and the Hot Tub wasnt even hot. The pool & hot tub had leaves everywhere and rocks and pebbles at the bottom and the water looks like its turning green like if the pool hasnt been maintained in a while.

Once again, a wonderful experience at Holiday Inn Express, Elk Grove. This hotel consistently offers everything I need when traveling. I want to give a special mention to Lauren S. She gave me the extra assistance that I needed over the phone prior to arrival as well as when I arrived. As this hotel is right off the 5 freeway and always busy with many people checking in and moving about the lobby, Lauren managed it all effortlessly. She definitely understands hospitality and managed everyone professionally as well as with kindness. I deeply value having that experience (as I have also worked in the hospitality industry for decades). Lauren is an asset to the IHG brand, she is impressive and in my opinion, should be considered as a leader for management and training other team members at IHG.

Decent hotel right by the freeway. Not noisy though and had a good nights sleep. Rates were good, esp. if you used the state worker rate. Breakfast is free and decent for free.. Coffee 24/7 can't beat that. Better than the other Holiday Inn Express in Elk Grove, that one is a bad neighborhood.

The breakfast was good and so was the bed. Very comfortable. The towels were thin and ratty. The shower was very tight and in need of repair. It should be replaced but was patched up on the bottom. The sink had a slow drain. I reported it to the front desk after our first night, but nothing was done about it. So we had to deal with it our second night. The staff was very nice.
