I’m stuck with my large bill because of Advent policy. Don’t show up early to your appointment because they start charging you as soon as you check in, which is why I was charged for a 45-60min appointment although I was only in the room for about 15-20 minutes total, maybe 10 minutes with the provider. The bill was $500 total through my insurance, leaving me with a charge of about $270. If I had not provided my insurance, it would have only been about $170. However, it is Advent policy that they won’t change the bill from insurance to out of pocket. I was told “this happens all the time and they refuse to do it”. And it took me over a month of calling multiple numbers and emailing just to get this answer. Never go to Advent for outpatient services.

Run away from this office. I was seen as a new patient for less than 10 minutes by the provider, for an appointment to order lab work which should have been billed as a Level II new patient encounter. I left feeling jaded that the appointment was so short and of low quality, but I understand that is what most primary care is becoming and I was going to try one more appointment before never coming back. I was instead charged $500 for a Level IV 45-59 minute new patient appointment. There was no prescription written nor any medication refilled. I have been trying to battle this only to be rudely spoken to, left on hold for over an hour only to leave voicemails, and messaging on the patient portal has been down for weeks. I can't seem to get anywhere or find any email addresses. The best I've gotten is from the woman in billing who seemed like this was a regular thing, telling me "I hear you, this is just how they make their money", and told me I would have to sort it out with them somehow.

Dr. Q will always be my favorite doctor. But those girls upfront behind the desk are AMAZING!!!!! Anything I need they provide immediately. Also the nurse is the best and the office manager!!! I am truly grateful that I have them to care for me, my mom and my children!!!!
