Roach-infested, dirty motel!!! Don't stay here! I spoke to a guest who placed a towel under the door to stop the roaches from getting into their room. Roaches climb on walls throughout the motel.

This has been the worst stay I've ever had at an Extended Stay of America. I actually lived in an Extended Stay about 3 years ago and had a truly amazing experience, but that was in Altamonte Springs. I'm staying at the Extended Stay that's near the Convention Center (6451 Westwood) and it's been less than kosher. The only positive is the staff are friendly and it seems they do care. About a week in to my stay I got stuck in the elevator not once, not twice but 3 separate times. And no, there wasn't an out of order sign on it..I had to wait for them to let me out. I would have taken the stairs but I have extreme arthritis and it's hard for me to climb. Now, for the last 2 weeks there has been a family with kids above me literally letting their kids run back & forth starting at 7am and going later in to the night..sometimes until 11pm! It's ridiculous and I've made several complaints to the front desk with no avail. They call the room and nothing happens. If they are disturbing a guest you would think they could move the family to a room downstairs or perhaps out of the Hotel all together. In addition the phone in the room is broke. So I can't even call the desk to tell them about the situation I have to go downstairs every time to report the complaint. I work late night hours and sleep until 11 or 12 some day..of course, I don't expect silence but I don't expect a stampede either!! It literally sounds like they are going to fall through the ceiling it's so loud! It's just been an overall poor experience.
