Hands down the worst plasma center I've ever been to they have a couple good people on staff but for the most part they're terrible they don't know what they're doing

I would not recommend this place. I went there 4 times and each time they say I had a bruise where the needle would go. I did at first and gave it 2 months to heal and they still said it was there when it wasn't and they wanted proof of lab work. You also have to answer questions and wait in line for a chair which could be an hour or more. I recommend biolife you make an appt and you are in and out.

Save yourself the misery, go anywhere else. Horrible customer service. The first time I went, the card they issued did not work, the second time they couldn’t start the IV…I kept going to this location because they said this was the one I had to use because of my address. Just save yourself the headache and go to another plasma location if you’re forced to go to the largo spot, it’s not worth the headache.

The referral isn't necessary, however, ask one of the patients there if they can do a referral for you. It's jumps up your pay for the first 8 donations on top of the new donor extra payment. But you don't need it. It's like an extra $200.
They say new donors can get up to $1000 but I thinks it's around $825 without a referral. As for going in around 3pm Friday that's fine they have to accept you no matter what when your in the doors from what I hear. Just remember drink lots of water and eat a meal a couple hours before you go. You will need your drivers license and social security card when you go in as a first time donor.
100 dollars for the first visit 125 the second then you get 100 for the next 7 visits so it's 925 the first month
As of today (08/19), the Largo center's Saturday and Sunday hours are 8AM-2PM
am i considered new if i have not done it for 4-5 years?
Top stays on but they ask about and want to see any tattoos. Complete medical history is required and they test for cocaine, heroin and methamphetamines. No bruises, "moist cuts" or obvious injuries are allowed as plasma helps the body heal so they won't let you donate it if you need it to heal your own body in any way. Hydrate like crazy for 24 hours before you donate and eat healthy the day before.
Nope, they will defer you if you donated somewhere else in the last 4 months
1st time takes a while because of sign up and physical. After that, usually 45min to an hour. A lot depends on your hydration and how busy the center is at that time.
My husband went in with a passport and two forms of mail and he was accepted without his social.
Call the donor center your going to donate at but it should be fine
Honestly I would advise new donors to NOT go on Sundays due to their limited hours. During the week would probably be your best bet.
