A complete hood system cleaning will take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours depending on the size of the hood system, type of cooking and volume of cooking your restaurant does.

According to NFPA 96 "Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations" it is required that you be properly trained, qualified and "certified" to clean kitchen hoods and exhaust systems in commercial cooking establishments.
Every three months NFPA 96 states that most kitchen hood cleaning is every three months. However some restaurants will be cleaned every 6m months while others commercial/restaurant exhaust systems that use wood or charcoal-burning stoves need to be inspected/cleaned monthly.
The average cost for kitchen hood cleaning in Florida is $375 to $450. With the rising cost of everything these prices are expected to rise.
