Our Mecklenburg BOE is great! Efficient!

Hubby and I dropped off our ballots last week. We also signed up to help at the polls. Parking lot is a bit tight so be careful and patient. We were in and out quickly. A kind worker even provided us with an umbrella and escorted us to our car in the pouring rain! Exercising our rites was not strenuous at all. Vote! Vote! Vote!

Best voting experience ever! Dropped of our ballots Tues Sept 15 around lunchtime. Fully staffed with professional friendly folks. Took less than 5 minutes. You fill out a short form, they stamp your ballot and let you watch them drop it into the ballot box. They even said, "Congratulations! You Voted!" The next day we received an email saying we voted! We always voted during early voting at voting places but from now on we are coming back here! Great Job Folks! Parking was good too. Now there is no need to worry about if our ballots were counted or worry about the recent mail delays for mail in ballots. AWESOME!

Yes, You Have To Have Someone With You So They Know They Have Curbside Voter
My experience was that I easily picked ballot request forms. I understand that once those forms are completed and turned in to BoE, a ballot will be sent to the voter.

My wife and I requested on the same day a few weeks ago. She received hers on Tuesday and I received mine today. I would wait a few more days and then reach out to the BOE.
Yes..you have to go in and you have to sign form when you go in to drop off. I felt that the procedure was secure and safe and then 10 days later checked on-line and my ballot was accepted!

I'm not really sure but I do know that the election office is currently open during business hours, if you desire to go in person. There's a lady sitting at a desk inside. W ehen you fill put absentee ballot, there is no place to put reason. Absentee ballots available at Mecklenburg Board of Elections at Kenilworth offices. You can sign form there or get on line. I would hand deliver once filled out. If you mail put on 2 stamps.
That only happens during the primary elections. It doesn't change anything for the November elections. Unaffiliated voters can only vote in one primary, so the poll workers have to know which ballot to give you.
Poll watchers, yes. Poll greeters, no.
Not true., for a couple of reasons. First of al, the May 14, 2019 primary election is a Republican primary for the 9th Congressional District, in which Bernie Sanders is not a candidate. Secondly, as registered voter with Unaffiliated party designation in NC, you would be eligible to choose either the Democrat or the Repubican ballot, if both were available. Hope this helps!
