Bear mountain is a great place to go and get away from the city it’s one of seven lakes & I recommend taking the scenic route there for an even better experience. I prefer to go when the pool is closed before the summer time with the family. If you go when the pool is open that is another review.

The pool is 5 minutes walk from the paddle boat area. There is a zoo right next to the pool and the walk is pretty scenic. The pool is big, spacious and well maintained. Its only $5 per person and cash only. You get more than your money worth for a nice swim with a beautiful view. There are vending machines through out to sip and much on ice cream. If you are visiting the zoo make sure to check their operation times as it closes early.

Pool and restroom facilty is always clean and now even more so due to our current times. I feel safe with the limited capacity. You can social distance and still enjoy a great swim. If you plan to BBQ the grounds are clean with plenty of picnic tables. Just make sure to bring your own grill as there are none at the park like some of the other state parks.

They put the Bear mountain pool in a lovely spot and even though it was a pool and not a lake it's still look natural being there. We enjoyed our time there but then some camps came in and got crowded so we left. We hope to return another day to enjoy the beauty of the pool or I should say the beauty surrounding the pool

It's closed
2 bucks. It's a big pool with 2 diving boards. Lots of life guards and pool is very clean.
No. No locker. U bring your stuff with u to the pool
Yes, I would go early. Especially if this party is going to take place on a Saturday. If Saturday, all parties should get there early to get a good parking spot. However, the pool will be crowded on a weekend.
You can bbq near the lake, there is available grills no permit needed. However if you bring your own grill it has to be a charcoal grill. They don't allow propane grills. Happy summer.
They are all over the place...at the picnic area... beautiful park for picnics... and hiking... swimming pool...zoo .. boating... lots to do there..a day of fun.. the pool is closed today though...
No not yet mid June...we just went today and it wasn't filled
