We stayed in room 304. Room was extremely clean, bathroom slightly outdated and worn, bed was comfy and room larger than expected. Extremely helpful and friendly. Rather hard to sleep with air conditioner requiring major updating. AC unit in room was very noisy, extremely cold when on then when off room got rather warm. Hotel was pleasant inside, would recommend to stay during week as opposed to weekend to avoid large dirty crowds of people blasting music and leaving trash all over lake picnic area…that was disappointing and sad to see.

We spent a night at the Inn after having our daughters sweet 16 at their Carousel. The staff and service are exceptional. The grounds are beautiful and our room was spacious and immaculate. We will be visiting again.

Stayed at the Overlook Lodge Friday-Sunday. The facility and room are a little dated, but clean and comfortable. However, an event (a teen's birthday party) in the basement during the day on Saturday rendered our room uninhabitable for 5-6 hours. The party was completely unchecked by management with music so loud that the pictures on our walls and glasses on tables were literally vibrating and shaking. What is advertised as a peaceful facility was anything but. When asked about the party (its duration and why the volume was unchecked), the front desk lady was dismissive, rolled her eyes and refused to ask management to look into it. We had to leave the facility for several hours until it was over.

I cannot express enough how much I loved staying at Bear Mountain Inn! My boyfriend and I planned a last minute trip here and from before we even booked the trip, Bear Mountain Inn was extremely helpful and accommodating. Commuting from the city can be confusing and they were very helpful with instructions (if you're planning on coming from NYC, use Coach USA! Drops you off right in front of the hotel). They also were kind enough to give us early check-in since our bus dropped us off so early! We stayed in one of the cottages and it was so clean and cozy. The resort itself has plenty to offer and is incredibly beautiful. We did not go to the restaurant, but the front desk was kind enough to give us a list of places that deliver to the hotel which was so helpful. Check-out is 11am, but our bus was not arriving until 5pm. The front desk was beyond kind enough to let us leave our bags in the lobby so we could enjoy a few more hours of the resort. I never write Google reviews, but I had to for the Inn. Thank you Bear Mountain Inn for such an amazing experience!!!

The short line bus comes from the port authority to the front of the hotel; the metro north train has a stop across the river from us in Peekskill then you would need to take a taxi; or Uber

Yes. The pool is open. Limited capacity. Cash only. Must wear actual bathing suits. Outdoor clothing and underwear not permitted in pools. Baby pool pullups for sale. Open 11 am -6pm.

I just went to stay over night at the bear mountain inn was my 21 wedding anniversary. They have a huge pool and as far as food we ordered to our room but food was good
Although we did see lots of puppies along the trails I would suggest calling the hotel to get correct info in regards to bringing your puppies along & if they do charge extra/or have specials.
