I am so very fortunate to have the trail just a few steps away from my home in Sterling. I take advantage of that and go bike riding during good weather several times a week, averaging 8 miles a day. On Sundays the trail gets packed with bikers, joggers, walkers and baby strollers so be mindful.

Beautiful paved path for walking and biking. Mildly up and down here and there but being on old railroad bed nothing too serious. Rather heavily used so one needs to be aware of others on the trail.Thank you Dana! We're glad you enjoyed the W&OD Trail!

Yes. You have to clean after them. There are many areas that provide both bags and special trash receptacles specifically for this. Also, your leash cannot exceed 10ft.
Never have had an issue. I ride daily, often in the rain.
Yes. There is a lot with about 20 spots.
No, it's a free public access park. It's too long and easy to access to charge for
skatepark is a good idea. However you might need more information than that. It's called skatequest
