I am a veteran, homeless at the time, and I needed a safe place to be while I received medical care at the VA Hospital. West Care opened a room for me and made me feel at home, part of the family. I want to thank everyone at the center and the wonderful staff, especially Shashia Whitmire who was my veteran staff representative. Shashia, thank you and I love you!! God bless you all!!

My step sister was sent there under circumstances which led her down a dark path in her life. Westcare was the light in the end of her tunnel, which literally turned her life around. Having been sent thereagainst her well. Turned ot being a huge blessing indesquiz . Shree even credits her new aspiration to a staffer whom is a cook! My sister was just a helper in the kitchen, but this "cook" by the name of "Ana" showed my sister such compassion, understanding and knowledge in the kitchen by cooking with love and care, inspired my sister so much, to start over! Thank you WESTCARE . And "ANA" We are so thankful of you! THANK YOU so much!

This is a medium term residential drug and alcohol treatment program. You cannot "check yourself in", it requires an assessment or referral. If you meet the criteria, there are programs which allow kids under 8 years to be with you. Good luck.
Yes. They appreciate donations for the kids. Thank you.
No it's a 3 month program but you could go to the detox center if you are coming down from drugs for like 3 days
Yes, you can drop off donations any day, any time.
No. You are thinking of Westcare Community Triage Center downtown. This is a residential trearment program averaging a 90 day stay.
Hi I am wondering if you also provide help to undocumented people
No facility policy supports her claim. However, she is entitled to refuse any visitor she chooses. Good luck.
There is no detox here. For Westcare detox, please see under "Community Triage Center" on GMaps. Good luck!
Residents cannot receive calls. They can make them after a few days. Residents can receive and send mail (except to/from lockdown facilities). Residents may receive pre-approved visitors upon screening or after the visitors have taken a one-night class. Good luck.
Can you have your kids with you during detox?
Hi Alejandera .U could bring books, cigarettes (turn em in when you go thru intake), your smartphone (you may need this when you're off campus, but staff will keep it until you gain that privilage, so turn it in when U intake to staff, also charger), stationery, portable DVD player n' yer own movies if U wish, MP3 player or personal stereo w/ headphones and CDs or (God forbid) cassettes, sunglasses, shower shoes, address book, home/fam pics, batteries (if U need em), nose spray and eye drops. - I would not bring anything U are not prepared to lose or get broken (theft occurs sometimes, things get broken, there are little kids in the facility). DO NOT BRING: Laptops, tablets, Kratum, foodstuffs (U may ask about sugar substitutes), weapons, valuable jewelry, or OTC drugs (they have the generics, which they control). The less stuff U bring, the less U have to worry about. They pretty much supply all you need (but supplies sometimes run out). Welcome to the Westcare family. God Bless
Staff member said max kids was up to individual caseworker or court mandate, but says she hasn't seen more than 3 kids to a single client. Age cutoff is 8 yrs old. Please 👍 this, as it took a number of texts for me to get it. Good luck.
Varies.
