Great burgers and fries. Staff and owner are welcoming and very customer friendly. Even though this restaurant is located in the center of a tourist town, there were locals dining here as well, which is always a good sign! Note: although Google states this restaurant opens at 4, it actually opens at 3 p.m.

Fantastic service, nice drink selections and the food was out of this world Delicious! The inside was beautiful and rustic and located below ground; very charming! Will do again when in the area. You would do well to strongly consider this Hidden Underground Gem! Seating is Limited, as are hours.

We were looking for a nice place to eat when we came up to the Great Barrington/Lee area of Mass. from Southern Connecticut and using Google maps for restaurant recommendations this place stood out. My Wife and I decided to give The Well a try as the reviews were very good and the menu had the type of food that we like when eating out. It's a very small place with a good size bar and about 6 tables and 4 booth seats. Of course you can eat at the bar too. The service was very good and the wait staff were very friendly and new the menu well. Our food was out with in 20 minutes of ordering and it was smoking hot. I had the Philly Steak and Cheese Hero and my Wife had Popcorn Shrimp. Both were delicious. Like I said it is a bit small but the old brick and stone walls gave it a good appearance and felt like it was more intimate than some huge restaurant. Definitely worth trying out if you are in the area. If I had to classify the restaurant I would say it's American food.
