Where do we even begin? The Madison Event Center/ Hotel Covington Staff has been phenomenal since day one. We worked extensively with both Ashley and Zoe. They probably answered hundreds if not thousands of emails I sent them! You can tell they love what they do and want the best for their couples. I had a couple moments where I seconded guessed every decision I made, and Zoe called me to talk though it all. She is an angel and the sweetest person I had the honor of working with and knowing. We had our tea ceremony and regular ceremony at the Hotel Covington and reception at the Emerald Room at The Madison. The entire day was beautiful! The staff checked in on us often and made sure our parents/grandparents had everything they needed :) The staff also helped us clean up everything at the end of the night! We are sincerely grateful we got married here :) Thank you for everything.

I got married a month and a half ago and I’m finally writing this review now that we’re settled in. The Madison only deserves two stars. It’s a really nice venue – very fancy and classy. But that’s the only positive thing about it. The communication over the last year and a half of planning was horrible. It was a headache to try and get any of my questions answered in a timely manner. There was one time I called my details specialist (the one who 99% of communication goes through) she didn’t answer (completely fine) so I tried calling the front desk three times and no one answered. It felt as if whenever we received emails with information, I had even more questions afterwards. Flash forward to the day of my rehearsal, and we didn’t have a coordinator there! One of the MAIN reasons we chose to go with the Madison was so all members of my family could enjoy the day instead of trying to coordinate it. While we finally just decided to run through the rehearsal with my officiant, one of my guests had to run to the front desk to figure out what was going on. They finally sent one, thirty minutes late, claiming there was a schedule mishap (not like this day hasn’t been planned the last year and a half). Then they told me that we’d have two different coordinators – one for the ceremony and one for the reception which was NOT how it was supposed to be when we first signed with the Madison. Come to find out, my coordinator for the rehearsal was ALSO coordinating the rehearsal across the hall, as she was going in and out of both of our rooms. That was just the start of the mess. The day of my wedding my name was spelt wrong on the bar sign. One of my guests had to point it out, which was embarrassing! And instead of fixing it, they just left no bar sign. Then, there were no forks for my guests on the cake table! Another guest had to, yet again, grab someone and tell them to correct the mistake. Lastly, we had a late night station, but no one knew we had one because none of the staff told us they put it out. It was in the corner of the room, but no one approached us or the DJ to tell guests they could enjoy it. We spent a lot of valuable money with the idea that we would get our money’s worth. After the big day, we feel that it wasn’t. Before you sign with the Madison, if you think, “wow, this seems too good to be true!” it’s because it is. I’d recommend going somewhere else unless you don’t mind terrible communication and the possibility of a scheduling “mishap.”
