We did a ton of research and picked Coltivare for our dinner choice during a recent trip to the Finger Lakes. Apparently we got there at server switch time, but as a result waited 15 min to put our order in. My husband and I both ordered specials, his was $42 and a small portion and had some undercooked potatoes. My meal was $28 and was just ok. The meals seemed completely thrown together. We were offered a free dessert but told the server we were in a rush to get to our next stop, and they just said "ok" and never offered to comp one of our glasses of wine or any of the bill. Very disappointing way to spend my husband's birthday dinner. Would not recommend or go back unfortunately. Check out the boatyard down the street instead.

The food is okay but there is room for improvement. Charcuterie board can include more meat varieties (now only sausages) and have the cheeses cut. The menu is also VERY limited by the time we visited (May 27th). I don’t think it’s worth the price and their environment, though. Please consider expand the menu and bring back some past dishes. The salmon was the highlight of our meal and well as the tiramisu.

Just had Easter Brunch. Nice atmosphere. We had 2:30 reservations and they were out of Prime Rib. Reservations were required and there was two more hours of serving. A bit dissappointed

Locally sourced ingredients. Great concept, but poorly executed. Meat Flatbread ($15) sounds great but it's actually just a small pizza similar in taste to Papa John's. In comparison the pizza at Cornell University North Star dining hall was much better. Creole Crusted Lamb Chops ($36) was overcooked and it certainly was not creole in the least bit. We had high hopes but decided to skip trying anything else due to disappoinment of the first few dishes. Dining hall ambiance. $80 for one entree, a small pizza and one mixed drink. The reason it's not 1 stars is because the service was excellent.

Can't say for sure, but considering their location (Ithaca) and that it's primary purpose is training the students in the community college's culinary program it's s pretty safe bet that they do; however, you'll need to contact the restaurant for a definitive answer.
If you need reservations it's best to call them.
Formal or semi formal would be okay. If it's casual, it has to be a good one
