I live near Ft. Lincoln! It's one of our favorite places to visit! And, no, it is not haunted! We especially enjoy riding the trolley from Mandan to Ft. Lincoln in the fall! Breath taking scenery!

When is a name change going to happen? Going with the flow of renaming offensive titles.

Salty Dawg70 | Oct 1, 2020
zzz Randomzzz | Oct 1, 2020

There is nothing offensive about it for sure but the land is called fort Abraham cause of the buildings and remains of buildings and the name Definitely not going to change unless the government defends the park and recreation community company

Can you put a boat in at Fort Lincoln camp ground

Tammy Jackson | Oct 1, 2020
Chris Brownell | Oct 1, 2020

I don't know that as I don't have a boat. Looking at the map of the park there is no boat ramp. Here is a link to the state park map. It also has the contact info on this page. https://www.parkrec.nd.gov/fort-abraham-lincoln-state-park

Can I get a good Samaritan to invite and host me there?

Johnson Muchiri | Oct 2, 2018
James Ley | Oct 2, 2018

Why would you need a host for Ft. Lincoln? You don't need a invite to Ft. Lincoln. It is a re-created post of the 1873-1877 period.

Was the seventh cavalry based there with colonel Custer as there commander

alan bell | Oct 2, 2018
James Ley | Oct 2, 2018

Yes it was the last assignment for G A. Custer & Libby. I strongly advice going & checking it out. Call ahead & find out I'd the frontier army will be there on the weekend. IF THEY ARE plan on going & arriving about 10:00 Saturday morning & stay for the entire day. Live demonstrations of period rifle, drill by the infantry, precise horse riding drills by the cavalry & many unexpected happening. HOWEVER, I would like to correct Ryan about not calling him Colonel. I was a reactor with the army. "Colonel" was used by the military personal. It was civilians that aren't suppose to call him Colonel.
