They did a great job on my windshield. Jessica was very friendly and Justin came out to my vehicle to do the repair while I was at work. Both very nice people and pleasant to deal with. I'm definitely going there for all my glass needs in the future.

Great company to work with! Jessica was very personable and proficient in setting up my appointment only a few days out from calling, and in handling all coordination and payment details. And Justin and Russell did an expert job and took great care in repairing and reinstalling an antique beveled glass window in my front door. True craftsmanship! The door looks to be ready for another 100 years of North Country winters. Thanks guys - I wouldn't hesitate to call again!

Questions & Answers

Can you buff scratches out of auto glass?

Glass Doctor - Owner | Jun 3, 2022
Glass Doctor - Owner | Jun 3, 2022

Scratch removal in auto glass is not a commercially viable solution to the retail market. Basically, it is labor-intensive and not always successful. If the customer is not satisfied with the result, they are understandably not willing to pay for the time and materials invested by the glass company. Scratch removal and scratch buffing systems exist; however, they are typically only practical in warehouses, industrial, and larger commercial glass projects. Please call our Glass Doctor office if you would like a more detailed explanation.

How long after my windshield gets replaced can I drive away?

Glass Doctor - Owner | Jun 3, 2022

Currently, most Glass Doctor locations use urethane with a one-hour safe drive-away time from when the new windshield gets set. No need for blue tape or any holds on washing your car. You are fully protected at the 60-minute mark. Please be sure to check with your local Glass Doctor to ensure the type of urethane being used.

Depending upon the type of coverage you purchase at the time of original install, you may be responsible for the cost of labor, adhesive, and moldings.

Can you cut tempered glass?

Glass Doctor - Owner | Jun 3, 2022
Glass Doctor - Owner | Jun 3, 2022

Unfortunately, tempered safety glass, by design, cannot be cut. It is designed to break into small pieces when cut or broken to reduce the risk of significant injuries to the person breaking it. Using safety glass, of which “tempered” is one type, is mandated by state building codes in specific applications like doors, sidelights, showers, etc. Please call Glass Doctor if you want more information on this topic.

Do you replace sliding door rollers?

Yes! We do replace rollers if needed. Of course, we try to clean the tracks and rollers and adjust first. If that does not work, we will discuss replacing the rollers for you.
