I love this gym it has so many machines and the workers are so nice

I went there for about 9 months when I was still figuring out my injury. I found out I had a tumor in my hip and needed surgery. They paused my account for 6 months which was great! Then I restarted it because I still had 3 more months on my contract. The tumor started coming back and I couldn’t work out again so I went in 3 months later to cancel my account. They told me it was done and I wasn’t in their computer. Then I got charged for the next 2 months like I still had the contract! When I went in to figure it out they claimed they were submitting it and trying to figure it out and get a refund. The worker acted like the manager and even sat at the managers desk. Nothing happened for 2 weeks and I called back again. It was a fight to get them to believe me this entire time and they kept saying I owed them for the 6 months it was paused on top of my 12 months basically 18 months for a 12 month contract! It was extremely frustrating. Turns out the first guy was not actually a manager at all and the real manager answered the phone when I called back. When they finally understood that I paid 14 months of a 12 month contract they said they’d try to get a refund. They weren’t able to of course. Considering everything it should have been done if the first worker actually told me the truth and showed me to fill out the cancelation paperwork. They need to train their staff better!

Got a 3 day pass to try out the gym and loved it. The facilities were clean and they had a ton of machines. The owner was super nice and I had a great time. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new gym.

Jim and the entire Genesis staff really blew us away this past week with their hospitality. Genesis was a home away from home for us while on our stay in Emporia for the Disc Golf World Championships and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality exercise in the area. The gym has an “OLD SCHOOL” feel with the modern touches that you’d expect anywhere else, plus a smoothie bar and sauna. 👌 5 Stars for Jim and the Genesis crew.
