Loved loved loved! Me and my boyfriend came for the weekend and after a day of waterfall hiking we were famished. Came here and it didn’t disappoint! Server was excellent! Very good at describing food and flavor! We got the short ribs and the salmon meal and split them! I can’t pick which one I liked better it was that good! Would recommend to anyone! It had outdoor seating ! It had take out eat in! The older building was beautiful! Had a lot of character! We sat by the window loved watching the hustle and bustle of the area!

I just had a fantastic meal with great service. I am on a gluten free diet and the waiter was able to satisfy my craving for chicken Parmesan with a gluten free version. I couldn’t believe the way the pasta tasted and the great way it had been prepared. Gluten free can be tricky. What impressed me the most, however, was that, without asking, the waiter served me gluten free bread as well as the standard bread served to my wife. These touches are what separates good from great! Thanks!

I stumbled across this place while trying to find an Italian restaurant. We had called ahead to inquire about a reservation and was told that nothing was available until late but that the outdoor patio was fcfs. When we showed up the patio was full but they had tables available inside. A little confusing based on what we were previously told but good news regardless. The majority of the inside was empty so we got a nice big booth. We started with an order of calamari and a couple salads. The calamari was nicely breaded and crispy, complete with fried cherry peppers and a tasty marinara sauce. For dinner I had the penne alla vodka with shrimp and my gf got the chicken parm. The penne alla vodka was in my top 2, if not the best I've ever had. The shrimp was fresh and well cooked and the pasta to sauce ratio was perfect. The service was also exceptional. The whole restaurant industry is suffering from a shortage of workers right now but you would never know it here. The staff was very attentive and I haven't had service like this since covid began. My water glass was never even close to being empty and the food came out quick. Don't miss this hidden gem if you are in Ithaca.

Was up in Ithaca and was surprised that so many places were closed on this particular Sunday. So we took our chances with some of the places in the commons. We ended up at Mahogany Grill. Ordered the calamari, truffle fries, and French onion soup for appetizers. Calamari - hard to mess up and they didn’t fail, just wish the portion size was a little better. The truffle fries were excellent and the mayo it’s served with tasted like it was blended with Parmesan or something to give it some additional oomph. It was so truffle-y that it almost made you wonder exactly how they did that. The FOS was pretty flavorful but it had a pretty strong oregano hit that you might not like if you’re a purist. For entrees, we got the beef stroganoff (full of meat, pearl onions, and mushrooms), the meatball spaghetti (totally lives up to its description - it’s massive), and the Mahogany burger (ordered medium - arrived medium). It was slightly busy so a little slow on bringing us the milk for our coffee, but otherwise our waitress was on point and we had an excellent meal there. A word on the interior - it had kind of like a nice, weathered bar kind of vibe to it. There was plenty of seating out front. Bathrooms were clean. Would be happy to come again and try some of their other offerings.
