I know all hospitals have their flaws but this HOSPITAL is absolutely horrible! If you don't care about people, why exist? Treat your patients the way you would want your loved ones to be treated. My best friend has been there twice. Her hemoglobin keeps dangerously dropping. She went in with extreme fluid retention, shortness of breath and extreme fatigue. The doctor said and I quote "well your hemoglobin is a little higher now so there is no reason to keep you." Mind you this was her second time being there for the same exact symptoms. Instead of finding out the "WHY" they send her home again! She is still sick and I'm so afraid for her. Everything is so tight on her body right now. She is so discouraged to return. And yes she has INSURANCE! We're going to try and go to the City. People are so cold and uncaring in the health field. It's quite sad and discouraging 😞 If you know better do better. I truly hope this is not a race issue.

Never have I seen such incompetence. We have been calling billing for 3 days promised a return call within 24 hrs for self pay price of a needed CT scan. 3 days later now after the appointment is over STILL no word!!! This is not my first issue. A friend who underwent a life changing surgery through them paid a bill that they messed up proceeded to call and YELL at her over the phone while she was recuperating from Cancer and fighting fir her life!!! This lack of professionalism must be dealt with. Shame shame shame. Next stop reporting them

The hospital is not doing covid testing but they do have the testing site up by Ithaca mall you can make an appt right online.
There is no smoking on hospital grounds.
It was previously called the Tompkins County Hospital. And I am not 100% sure but I think it became Cayuga Medical Center in the 80's or possibly early 90's.
Yes. You or your doctor needs to make an appointment.

In all honesty you would have to ask the person because the hospital wouldn't be able to release that information and in most cases they can't even confirm or deny if someone works there because of HIPAA laws
