Ridiculous, unnecessary covid and security precautions. Probably the only building in town with that many restrictions. No help anyway since you can't apply for a Medicare card there only make a phone interview 2 months away. We really need to reduce the size of the federal government. It is so inefficient.

Nope- If he has his card there is nothing else he needs to do. It will start the first day of his birthday month. If he wants to look at other coverage to go along with Medicare like a supplement, drug coverage or an advantage plan talk to an insurance broker or an area CLAIM office.
Replacement cards are free and all you should need is a valid ID. However you can always call and check before going.
