They told me themselves they couldn't help my situation with shelter because they're always full and can't take in more than a small portion of those in need. Who do they call if the "emergency shelter" can't help in an emergency?

This place is a scam... tried to drop off clothes and gloves for the homeless with the cold weather coming and was told they don't accept any donations... I need to take the donations to the store so they can sell the items... Can they explain how does that system work for the homeless who have no money... Shameful... I'm sure there is a legitimate charity in Columbia where they can get clothing for free...

The Harbor House has rooms for families with small children, single man and women. P,ease verify open beds by calling the shelter. With the weather forecast this evening there will be cold cots available.
Not that I know of. However during winter they do and service animals are always welcome.
Actually you don’t need to go to the police department. We do check the sexual offenders site though since we have children in the program. It is best to call and verify that there is an open bed. It might save frustration.

Yes they will help you find housing and you can stay 90 days but in some cases they will extend your stay as long as they can see you are trying to get housing work etc

Unfortunately unless there are children men and women are separated. Currently we have no open family rooms available anyway.
Starla, you may bring your personal clothing and hygiene items. There is a locker in the dorm room so a lock is beneficial. The shelter has bedding but you are welcome to bring your own.
