Loved the experience because of the flora. Make sure to prepare with bug spray and I'd suggest starting first thing in the morning so you can have a nice lunch on the beach before its too hot. The view of Lake Michigan coming down from the dune is breathtakingly beautiful. And so cool and peaceful on the beach.

Pleasant hike in the national park, not many people (small parking lot), mix between marsh, dunes, beach and different types of succession forests as you go closer to the lakeshore. Of those we checked out my favorite, good protection against rain as well except for the exposed dunes part.

I like the fact they have trails. What is unfortunate is that you can see 2 powerplants when you look right and left. These are the first dunes I visited outside of Michigan. Michigan is more natural and beautiful.

What an incredible park! Definitely the best place Indiana has to offer. Just incredible sights, beautiful biodiversity, great trails, hardly busy at all. Breathtaking views from the shores and Cowles Bog. Can't recommend enough!! Especially the Cowles Bog trail!!!!!! Please go
