We take this hike often. Our pup loves it! We've yet done the longer version beyond the hill. But one day we will.

Enjoy the wide open spaces at least once a week well- maintained can be solitary at times. Variety of trails and difficulty.

Because a Civil War battle was fought nearby.

Why is it called battlefield trail? It's my understanding that the battle of Thompsons Station took place closer to Walmart heading into Spring Hill.

The Battle of Thompson's Station took place on the present site of Preservation Park in Thompson's Station and on some adjoining property. The Battlefield Trail is in Preservation Park.
