The trail head is inside the park. There is no Loftin Road street sign at the entrance of the park. The trail has a very nice rest room building but no picnic facilities. It is a wonderful paved trail for an afternoon stroll with entire family

What a wonderful hike! The trails are marked very frequently but there is a lot to see if you wonder off of them as well. We weren’t able to go very far into the cave (the snakes were out with their extended families today) but it was a nice spot to stop and take in the scenery. The overlooks were great! By the end of it the 10 year old was DONE. I think it’s fair to say that had a lot to do with today being hot and humid more than anything. The trail was beautiful. One we will be hiking over and over.

Trail is short and mostly flat. 2 miles RT. There are a few paths that can lead you off course, so just follow the blue blazes. Blazes are fading but plentiful. Trail is really uneventful but the cave is a must see. Well worth the …

Possibly...there are areas off the trail that are cleared out. I saw remnants of a couple of campfires
follow the line on Google maps
The caves are down the trail near the lake. You will come to a flat spot, go away from the lake, there was an x on a tree, you will go down a little valley, then turn back as if looking at the lake, you will see the opening of the cave. It is increadible once you do find it. It is a bit difficult though. Took us a bit of time to find it. Then we realized we were standing on top of it.
Yes, but during hunting season I would wear hi viz colors. It is surrounded by her a land
